Meet Beth Deangelis, Ed.d. | Doctor of Education & Designer of Masterclasses on Emotional Intelligence

We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Deangelis, Ed.d. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beth, what principle do you value most?
Love and lifelong learning are the values that guide my path. I hold an unwavering belief in human potential and our innate capacity for growth. When we develop into whole, integrated individuals despite life’s challenges, we strengthen not only ourselves but also our families, communities, and the broader world. This journey transcends individual achievement—it’s about evolving in ways that enable us to elevate others and create meaningful change.
Through my experience teaching and coaching thousands of people, I’ve come to recognize an enduring truth: each person possesses extraordinary worth, deserving of both love and opportunities to flourish.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I love seeing people flourish – it’s why I teach. I blend academic expertise (a doctorate in Teaching and Learning) with real-world business experience to create practical solutions that work.
My methodology delivers measurable results through customized emotional intelligence masterclasses and coaching. Since the 1990s, I’ve helped thousands of people achieve lasting change through actionable methods.
Lessons learned along the way:
– Stay curious
– Be true to yourself
– Share what you learn.
My book arrives summer 2025. Stay tuned!
Reach out to discuss a customized masterclass for your team. I look forward to meeting you!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a New Yorker who visits LA often. I would contact my local friends to get together for:
Yoga at Mindry in Malibu followed by a hike in the Canyon, a visit to Homeboy Industries, a private dinner party, and spending a meeting-free day downtown to explore and see where the day takes us!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am grateful to those who have influenced my journey: Pema Chödrön, Paul Farmer, M.D., Carl Rogers, Dr. Elana Gordis and my daughters, Marcella and Evangeline.
I appreciate the institutions that have supported my growth: Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, The Omega Institute, Northeastern University, and Siena College. Many others have helped along the way, and for this I am grateful.
