We had the good fortune of connecting with Blake Hare and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blake, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my self confidence, this trait was instilled in me since childhood by my mother. I can’t thank her enough for helping me believe in myself that I can do anything on this planet I put my mind too. With that self confidence it breeds my thirst for knowledge, advancement, and perfecting my craft in life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For me my art is my ability to create for the consumer, I can detach myself from what I may want my next move to be by asking myself ” If I were a consumer what would I want next from this brand?” That thought there puts me right into a zone of HOW I should create for my market. My initial thought entry into entrepreneurship knowing I wouldn’t be the first luxury cologne or the first streetwear clothing brand but how can I be unique in a field that separates me from the next. Focusing on growth leads to my thirst to learn so I can be better, it’s like how time only goes forward and we all know that so inevitably focusing on growth during that time you will grow!

I’m most proud of my most recent media accolades receiving a position in Ebony Magazine’s 2020 Christmas shop guide. My luxury cologne Superb was featured along side Bevel, Fubu, Savage Fenty, and many others so that was a very honorable moment for me. Following up from that was recognition from rap legend/Entrepreneur Rick Ross, media outlet Baller alert, news outlet Channel 4, and rap legend Fabolous.

Being where I am today is just from pure belief in myself that I can be where I see myself being at. I overcome challenges by treating them as lessons so I learn from them instead of dwelling on challenges. I’ve learned to stay composed during pressure because in life everything is just a phase and nothing last unless you allow it. So those downpoints they will come but when they do just know they’ll end as long as you persevere thru it otherwise you choose to allow those points to consume you.

I want the world to know this is me, this is myself into fabrics and cosmetics. What you see is what I envision, walking in faith I see that vision touching the world. I believe we are all created for a purpose and once you discover that purpose life gets better, it starts making more sense, and you actually feel happiness…this is me this is where I belong in my realm creating that’s my story.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A week long trip that’s a activity everyday but for food spots J.Alexander, L Georges coney island, sweetwaters, The Kook Up I could really go on and on. Hangout spots downtown and the most interesting people are those are just themselves no matter what.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For my shoutout I have to say thank you to my family, my brotherhood, and my network. Without the genuine love, support, and belief they have in me there would be no Blake Hare. My family showed me what unconditional love looks like while also balancing the hustle and will power to provide and support one another.
My brotherhood showed me how to face reality with strength and moving as one is the single most important factor to a solid circle.
My network who I’ve fostered my life by simply not burning bridges, treating everyone how I wish to be treated, and supporting anyone I would acknowledge in public we feed into each other. When we grow we build each other up, we bring the next person up the ladder and its a beautiful feeling to be apart of.
