Meet Blake Stargel | Real Estate Advisor and Investor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Blake Stargel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blake, how do you think about risk?
I think risk is the fuel to achieve our biggest goals and dreams. Very little in life that is worth achieving comes without it. It’s why some stay behind in safety and live an average life and others go on to accomplish monumental things. Realtionships are risky for the fear of heartbreak, quitting your job to pursue your own business is risky, but in the end taking these leaps of faith can lead to the most rewarding outcomes.

Risk has played a critical role in many aspects of my life. Moving from Omaha, Nebraska to LA at 20 years old and dropping out of college to pursue my passion for real estate were two defining decisions that allowed me to get to where I am today. They were some of the hardest decisions to make but they ended up being the most rewarding. These risk-intense decisions turned my dreams into reality.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Real Estate Advisor based out of West Hollywood that provides strategic representation to those looking to get the most out of selling a property, buying a home, or investing in the LA Market. I service a range of areas and clientele, from first-time homebuyers in neighboring counties to celebrities looking for their dream home in the Hollywood Hills. My extensive use of technology and creative advertising sets me apart from the competition by leveraging new tools and platforms in this ever-changing market. TikTok and Instagram have played a big role in growing my business. With over 28,000 followers and millions of views these platforms have allowed me to connect with many amazing people and landed me features in some of my favorite publications.

Coming from the midwest and breaking into one of the most competitive real estate markets at a young age was a big challenge. It took me years of hard work and persisitence before my business really started to pick up. The best things in life do not comes easy and there is no shortcuts for hard work. Each day is different in this industry and there is always something new to learn. I still have a long way to get to where I want to be but I am enjoying every step of the way!

I attribute a big part of my success to my practice of gratitude and affirmations. If you are grateful for what you have now in the present moment it will be much easier to get what you want in the future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A week in LA with a friend would start off with the LA staples. A hike in Griffith Park, a very quick stroll down Hollywood Blvd, and a trip to the Observatory. After a long day of hiking and sightseeing we would go for a margarita and some amazing mexcian food at El Compadre on Sunset. The rest of the week would be filled with a trip to Malibu for some wine at Malibu Wines and fish at Moonshadows. Followed by a breathtaking sunset overlooking the ocean.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge shoutout to Steve Sanders, a fellow Realtor, and my incredible mentor. He has played and still plays a significant role in my life and has helped me get to where I am today.

I also would love to give a shoutout to the book “The Defining Decade – Why your twenties matter and how to make the most of them now.” I read this book twice already and plan to read it when I turn 30. It has been my north star as I maneuver through young adulthood. Meg Jay, the author, is a psychologist with an incredible insight into the minds of young adults and the challenges they face.
