We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobby Scalisi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bobby, what principle do you value most?
The principle that matters most to me in my business is equality. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to find their dream home, regardless of price point or location. My goal is to provide the same level of dedication and service to all my clients, ensuring that they feel valued and supported throughout the entire process.

What should our readers know about your business?
Breaking into the Southern California real estate market as a young agent in my early 20s was no small feat, especially in an area dominated by experienced powerhouse agents. The market here is incredibly competitive, and while I serve clients all over SoCal, the core of my business is in North Orange County. Establishing myself in this environment meant I had to pave the way for younger agents, proving that age is not a barrier to success. I quickly learned that being open, honest, and fully dedicated to my clients was essential in earning their trust and, ultimately, their referral business.

The journey wasn’t easy—I’ve had doors shut in my face and even experienced clients standing me up. But rather than getting discouraged, I used these challenges as motivation to work twice as hard. I knew that by consistently showing up, putting in the effort, and delivering results, I could build a reputation for myself in the industry. Today, I’m proud of the name I’ve made, and the hard work it took to get here continues to drive me every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Southern California offers an incredible variety of experiences, and we truly have everything at our fingertips here! When I take time off, I love to mix up my destinations. For dinner, you can often find me at Javier’s in Newport Coast, enjoying the beautiful ambiance. When I need some R&R, I head out to the desert and relax poolside at La Quinta Resort. For a drink with a view, The Rooftop in Laguna Beach is one of my favorite spots. And of course, I’m always on the lookout for great independently owned coffee shops—there are so many hidden gems around here!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I first entered the real estate industry, I was young and admittedly a bit naive—very green. Fortunately, a senior agent, Cathy Ramirez, saw potential in me and took me under her wing. She went out of her way to mentor me, sharing invaluable insights and guiding me through the complexities of the industry. Her support was instrumental in helping me build my business and shaped me into the well rounded agent I am today. I am forever thankful for the time and effort that she dedicated to me while asking for nothing in return!
