We had the good fortune of connecting with Bordin Marsinkul and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bordin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was tired of looking for job and work for someone else. So i decided to make my own path and promote my own art style.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to draw people and design characters , by going to comic con and anime con, i was able to follow that dream and make people happy with my arts. I got into convention due to lack of jobs and company were just contracting artist left and right. I need something more solid and that people can appreciated and notice of what I do. I t was definitely not easy, since it require lots of connection and travel to all types of shows to advertise my self. I learn so much to be more independent and manage my own schedule and finance. I want everyone in the world to know, that following a dream it will only happen if you just start rather than just dream about it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in San Francisco, so there’s a lot of tourist place i can take my friends. from Golden Gate Bridge, China Town, Fishermen Wharf, Japan Town. etc I would take them to eats lots of ramen, lol

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say my fans. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t support by my fans
