We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon “Big B The Chef” Tiffith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon “Big B The Chef”, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting ‘Big B The Chef’ was driven by a combination of passion, skill, and a desire to create something meaningful. I have always had a deep love for cooking and making money! I’ve spent years honing my culinary skills & have 5 degrees (a masters in business) to prove how much I love business. During this time, I realized that cooking wasn’t just a hobby for me; it was my true calling.

As I gained more experience and received positive feedback from friends and family who tasted my dishes, A light went off and I began to consider the idea of turning my passion into a business. I saw an opportunity to share my love for food with a wider audience and make a living off it & the rest is history! I started doing food truck pop ups which then lead to festival runs and I’m still going! Check us out on every social media platform, @BigBTheChef.

Ultimately, the thought process behind starting my own business was a combination of personal passion, culinary expertise, market demand, business expertise and a strong desire to provide exceptional dining experiences for my clients. It’s been a rewarding journey so far, and I’m excited to continue growing ‘Big B The Chef’ and sharing my love for food with others!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am Brandon “Big B” Tiffith (31), Born and raised in Watts, California, Nickerson garden projects. The son of music mogul Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith & Fashion Stylist/Master Plumber Catina “Licious” Smith. I have 5 degrees, the most current being My Masters in management and systems from New York University’s School Of Professional Studies. I (Brandon “Big B” Tiffith) am the Founder Of “Big B The Chef” (Food Truck, Catering & Private Chef Services), chief marketing officer (CMO) at Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), Grammy award winner Jay Rock’s Manager & An Heir to the throne; Being TDE’s Founder Top Dawg’s Son. As CMO I oversee marketing and sales at the label while helping manage a plethora of literal Super stars like SZA, JAY ROCK, SCHOOLBOY Q, ISAIAH RASHAD, DOECHII, AB-SOUL & MORE!

I got to where I am after pursuing my countless degrees and passing my fathers test of if I can actually add some value to the company. This was definitely not an easy feat! One thing I will say is that my father laced me with all the game I need to succeed in my own endeavors which led me to entrepreneurship and Big B The Chef. There have been many challenges but my experience in high stakes business allows me to navigate the atrocities with grace.

I Want the world to know that behind ‘Big B The Chef’ is a story of a relentless pursuit of excellence, inspired by the lessons of my parents, who taught me to overcome adversity with grace and determination. Our brand embodies the idea that with passion and hard work, you can transform your dreams into reality. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In this heartfelt shout-out, I want to pour out my deepest gratitude to my extraordinary mom and dad. Their unwavering support and profound life lessons have been my guiding lights through the darkest storms. They’ve shown me, through their own remarkable journeys, that triumphing over seemingly insurmountable odds is not just possible; it’s their way of life. Their individual successes are nothing short of awe-inspiring, and I’m constantly in awe of their resilience and tenacity. My ability to not only survive but thrive in the face of adversity is a testament to their enduring love, unwavering wisdom, and the awe-inspiring examples they’ve set.
