We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Choi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy means the same as what makes me keep running on my life journey.
Although facing many difficulties keeping in the business, many people believe and follow me.
I assume every small business owner like me will be the same, and the happiest moment is when customers recognize the products.
And I’m grateful that I have a business to run and have people to stick together, and the most important thing is a dream to achieve with my family.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my first job as a stockman at the 99cents discount store when I was a sophomore in high school. And starting with that job, I started designing my life with many types of jobs.
More than anyone else, I had to go through a very, very difficult time in my life. I can not put everything I have done in the past in this questionnaire but never been easy.
Easy Come Easy Go is one of my life’s self messages. I’ve been learning that failure brings a lot of good things to move next level of your life, and giving up is the biggest enemy.
Things you want to either get or achieve, it must pay for from either solid financial background or only yourself.
I developed my products with experience and recipes accumulated over almost ten years, so the products are never
can’t be the same as others.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would love to take either friends or family from overseas to start exploring- L.A’s street foods,Vegan Foods, Asian Foods(, Farmer’s Markets, Night markets, Beach, and Theme Parks (Universal Studio, Disney World), National Forest Camping.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is a company called Jubilo in South Korea, and the manager Jose and business consultant/friend Mike Chu.
Company Jubilo specializes in professional design art working with many major companies but even in a difficult time in Covid-19, they see our company’s potential and decided on investment.
Mike has been working with me since I started the first gelato business at oldtown Pasadena up to now.
This friend helped me with a lot of things without any conditions. I thank him constantly personally as well as business-wise.
And manager Jose started working with me when I opened a second gelato business in the city of Commerce, and we had various trouble, but we both knew that we trusted each other. He is still the month of Employee all the time.
