Meet Brandon Holley | Clothing designer/ CEO of BranVille Clothing. DJ/ Producer as B-Villain

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Holley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always been driven by creativity so it only made sense to start my own business. Having my own style and vision has been important to me. I started BranVille Clothing in 2006 when I moved to Los Angeles shortly after high school so it’s been my vision and lifestyle since then. Between designing clothing and making music, my mind is in creative mode 24/7. BranVille allows me to get my vision out there in a creative way for the eye to capture. Loud words and punk rock vibes is how I grew up so I wanted something that represented me in the best way. My music has always been aggressive whether I was in a band or producing EDM music on my own as “B-Villain.” When you blend my clothing with my music, you can get an idea how who I am and what I am all about.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been producing and performing music for over 20 years now. From playing in bands, to DJing in arenas, I’ve seen it all. Doing things my way was always important to me and that mind set molded me into the artist I am today. Making music is a way for me to let loose, release any vibes I want to put out, and just mainly have fun with it all. It’s always fun going back and listening to my music from years ago and knowing the exact feelings I had at those times. Every year the music I release is almost like a year book of my thoughts and personal experiences. Whether it’s good or bad, I love it. Nothing was easy to get here and it’s always a constant grind. I try to never let the thoughts of critics or anyone get to my head. I just want to make music I love and want to listen to. Simple as that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am currently living in Huntington Beach and this place is such a vibe. LA was fun but I’m for sure loving the beach vibes again. I am always down in Newport Beach in the water or hanging on the sand and always take friends down there. My favorite thing to do with friends from out of town is drive up and down the coast checking out the surf. Fish tacos or sushi is my go to for food up and down the coast. I have a few hidden secrets I can’t give away.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve grown up around a lot of talented artists and musicians but I would have to say Sky Blu from LMFAO really put me out there and had my back through everything. At the time I met him, I was already DJing with my buddy Mikealis and it was mainly just a fun hobby for us. Once I met Sky Blu and really started touring and living my life surrounded by music, things started moving fast. He just put me on and it was basically a sink or swim type of situation. Either I could rock and hang with the crew or he was going to move on and find someone else. I learned a lot from Sky Blu and Big Bad University by sitting in the studio for endless hours just watching the creative process or being on stage at every show on tour. I took everything in and it helped me grow into who I wanted to be and my vision. Being surrounded by insane talent is the best feeling. That all inspired my music to jump to another level along with my clothing. I wanted my brand and vision to continue to grow with my music. They went hand in hand with my vision and where I wanted to be.
