We had the good fortune of connecting with Bre Carroll and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bre, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
This is a fun question; I am still exploring this one, almost daily. My idea of time, in and of itself has evolved throughout the years. For starters, it is something I value. My time and others. A question I consistently pose is, “how am I spending and filling in my time?” That goes for work and personal matters.

The balance I now strive towards has been influenced by spending too much time on one side of the spectrum and not feeling centered. I am now able to identify an imbalance in my life when things do not feel fluid. I truly believe that work and personal life deserve attention, and when both are cared for, the other one enhances.

What should our readers know about your business?
I believe that my business is inclusive. Considering that it is a holistic and alternative form of wellness and healing, it allows anyone from various walks of life to enter and receive. I think something that others can attest to is the idea that we have to look or behave a certain way in order to step foot into a yoga studio, or receive massage or energy work. That there is some avatar of a person who belongs in these types of spaces.

I strive to create a welcoming and accepting environment. We all deserve to feel good, period..and that is one intention of my work. To help people feel better and more connected to themselves, through the tools and modalities I offer. Come as you are, and leave in a more anchored place within yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am known for introducing people to outdoor hikes and scenery. In terms of local destinations, I would drive us up Highway 74 into Idyllwild, and hike, hug some trees, and sun bathe on some rocks. The following day I would schedule us a spa experience of some sort. Steam room, sauna, massages, and lunch + mimosas by the pool.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to recognize the Coachella Valley, CA. It is the residents and visitors of this land that have provided me with the opportunity to share my passions, work, and gifts.
