Meet Brenda (B) Barrales | Bruja and healer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda (B) Barrales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brenda (B), every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Tres Ojos actually started when my wife and I began our sobriety journeys. As we began to dive into spirituality and alternative healing we also decided to change our lifestyle. We began to find healing in developing products and creating art. That turned into eventually creating spaces and tools for others to feel the same- like they deserved to heal.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Tres Ojos is named in reference to the third eye. We believe we were all gifted with three eyes- two to look and one to see. Opening your third eye is about seeing things in a different perspective and connecting to things in ways you maybe wouldn’t have thought were possible. The biggest challenge has been creating a business structure that doesn’t really exist elsewhere. Creating our own model using intuition. We fuse magick in art into our products. We also offer spiritual services- readings, limpias, classes. so while most people niche down on one or two things, we allow ourselves to have a broad variety of services and offerings. It’s mostly about the balance about how all of that works out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are lots of hidden gems and we enjoy that. If a friend were visiting we would certainly start the day with coffee from the daily bird mke and a bagel from Hens deli (who just opened)! It’s such an amazing environment the moment you step in there. We would hit up American science and surplus just because it’s so fun to look around at all the random things. Lunch would be at Don Pastor’s taco truck. The next stop would be antiques on Pierce or the art museum. Either you can spend hours at. Ended with a seafood boil at low country! Yum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our community! We are absolutely nothing without our community and supporters. Endlessly grateful that we have people who come to events, the shop, and support us online. Everything we do is also centered around how we can help our community!
