We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Antezana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
I find purpose in working towards big goals, and what bigger goals are there than to help people and to change the world? I will consider my work done when I am confident that I did all that I could to achieve that goal. To do so, I will focus on vehicles that can adapt and thrive without me. I will scale businesses that will drive the engine of progress and innovation, intellectual properties that inspire hearts and minds into action, and artificial intelligence that will help aid future generations. Of course I will adapt along the way, so, while the methods may change, the goal will remain the same.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I work with my partners to help solve big problems, and the central solution to these problems is scaling. How can we do more while still being efficient? Scaling businesses affects more people than what can be done individually and also continues to touch people’s lives long past our involvement. Media inspires many people to expand their boundaries, have conversations, and to act.

As an investor, my partners and I specialize in growing companies to triple their profits in 12-18 months by using our advanced marketing and business strategies to increase sales while reducing costs. We have created and run companies in a diverse set of industries, and most have achieved profits exceeding 7 figures. In addition, we have developed a unique, distinctive approach toward successful merger and acquisition transactions. Our success is built on over 35 years of experience doing deals that create win/win situations. I like working with my partners since we can help businesses that may otherwise might be looked over by other groups and that we have the capacity to help a large number of businesses.

I am also involved with RAW Media House as an executive producer. We are a full service production company that specializes in creating, developing, and executing commercials and digital content from inception to completion. We develop and produce narrative projects with partners such as Lunar Studios. It is a great feeling when we consistently delight clients and audiences with our work.

Perseverance and great purpose helped me get to where I am business-wise. Great purpose drives perseverance; perseverance drives purpose to be greater. Everything else came after that. To overcome immense obstacles, learning humility helped me to continuously improve myself and to become creative in my strategies. To overcome my limitations, I learned to adapt and to sacrifice more. Having a big dream made it easier to learn from every setback and to always strive for more. I realized that if I was not failing, I was not doing enough.

Everyone should continuously become a better, more efficient version of themselves, not just those who have huge ambition. There is so much life to live.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A week is definitely not enough time to see L.A! If my best friend was visiting for a week, I would take her to…

Sunday:

The Getty Center has a lot of classic art. You can spend a whole day seeing the art there, not to mention the beautiful architecture and garden! We will be taking a lot of pictures!

To eat. Lunch at The Restaurant at the Getty Center. There really is not another location like it!

Monday:

Universal Studios Hollywood. Everyone wants to see how Hollywood magic happens, and Universal Studios Hollywood is the place to take them. I would definitely take her to the studio tour and Waterworld!

Afterwards, we would hang out and eat at Universal CityWalk.

Tuesday:

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

Another great art museum! And we definitely have to take pictures at the Urban Light exhibit!

To eat. Ray’s and Stark Bar has a pretty good menu!

Afterwards, we would walk around the area and see what catches our eye!

Wednesday:

The Broad has great modern art exhibitions. We will definitely take pictures at the Infinity Mirror Room.

To eat. Otium is a great place nearby.

Thursday:

Getty Villa. A museum that has artifacts from the Stone Age to the Roman Empire and great gardens that have a huge reflecting pool. The museum is built like a Roman country house, which would transport us out of the city and into that era.

For lunch. Garden Tea at the Getty Villa menu is a light fare and has variety.

Friday:

La Brea Tar Pits. Fossils from the Ice Age? Yeah, she definitely would not expect that in L.A!

To eat. Yuki Kitchen Wilshire.

We’ll explore the area after dinner.

Saturday:

Morning. Ovation at Hollywood and Highland, Walk of Fame, and TCL Grauman’s Chinese Theater. We’ll take pictures of the Hollywood Sign, stars in the Walk of Fame, and the handprints at the TCL Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Lunch. We will have fun exploring and coming across a place to have lunch.

Afternoon. Griffith Observatory. We will take pictures of the Los Angeles vista and the Hollywood Sign. We’ll look through the telescopes set up at the Public Star Party and also see the exhibits and shows at the observatory.

These would be the highlights of L.A. There is so much more to see, though!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I learned to persevere from watching the examples of my immigrant parents and their community. They did not complain when they faced discrimination, violence, and poverty; they overcame it.

I learned a practical model of investing from Robert Kiyosaki’s books. I would recommend reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad; Cashflow Quadrant; and Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing. From there, one can read other books about investing and business that tailors more to one’s personal goals.

Do More Faster, by David Cohen and Brad Feld, helped give me a framework of what success as a startup looks like and the issues of which an owner should be aware.
