We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Cade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Passion is the main reason i pursued a creative career. Honestly i found myself the most passionate when i was creating something since i was young. I was always told anything is possible so that concept has also been with me since i was kid. It wasn’t until i graduated high school that i knew for sure that music and entertainment is what i want to do for the rest of my life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is my music. Music has always been a type of medicine for me, the right song could heal me from almost anything. When I was heartbroken, when I was nervous or when I wanted to feel good music has always been there for me. With so much music being created today it’s been a mission of mine to make my music stand apart from the masses and I believe that starts with the intention before we create the music. I create music that real people can relate and grow from, we are all going through the same things regardless of class, race or religion & I keep that in mind when making my music. My latest album”SILK” is what i’m really looking forward to releasing, I put a piece of myself in this album and i’m excited to see how it’s received. I’ve come a long way from opening up for Jason DeRulo, Kendrick Lamar & Tyga & still have so much further to go but i’m ready to see where the future takes me. One thing I learned from being on my journey is nothing that comes easy is worth having and the only way to endure the tough time is with a crazy work ethic and a heaping amount of faith and positivity that everything you want is already yours.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends and I are definitely night owls so one place we for sure are going to is Crave Cafe preferably the one on Ventura because I love the valley. We are also big on the thrift stores so we gotta hit up a Buffalo Exchange. I’m obviously gunna go to a few studio sessions so I’d call my guys @mixedbyz or @illzeewill and cook up some new heat. I love Six Flags so that’s a must as well & lastly slide to Pasadena and see my Uncle J or head to Inglewood and link with my friend and energetic consultant Amil Gibbs. Something slight though lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve been lucky to have so many positive influences in my journey, I want to start off thanking the Most High for giving me the courage and vision to stay on the path that was placed in my heart since i was an 8 year old boy. I want to thank my parents for raising me to be a thinker and a leader, my Love City brothers for believing in me before anyone else & being the extended family i needed. Lastly thanks to my new group of brothers who are the driving force for all my latest creations you are all appreciated and loved by me.
