Meet Briana Williams | Attorney, Expert Business Strategist, and Image Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Briana Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Briana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting Greystone Law and Advisory Group was born out of both frustration and clarity. After years of working within the confines of traditional law firms, I realized that the rigid, hierarchical structure of those environments didn’t reflect who I am—or how I’m meant to serve. I’m not just an attorney. I’m a strategist and an image architect: a creative. I’ve always moved fluidly between disciplines: law, business, branding, design—and I needed to build something that allowed all of those dimensions to exist in harmony.
The idea behind Greystone was to create a space where law isn’t cold, distant, or disconnected—but visionary, human-centered, and forward-thinking. I wanted to blend sharp legal strategy with elevated advisory services, giving clients not just courtroom strength, but clarity in how to build, protect, and elevate their businesses and brands.
Being boxed in never worked for me. I needed the freedom to lead differently—to work with founders, creatives, executives, and anyone bold enough to dream, while still honoring the depth of my legal training. Greystone is the answer to that calling: a multidimensional firm for multidimensional people.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Greystone Law and Advisory Group is more than just a law firm—it’s a movement. It’s the space I created when I realized I no longer wanted to choose between my identity as a lawyer, an artist, a strategist, a storyteller, and a woman with vision far bigger than the courtroom. At Greystone, we don’t just defend businesses—we design futures. We don’t just litigate—we lead.
What sets us apart is that we approach law and advisory with depth, empathy, and strategic clarity. We operate at the intersection of high-level litigation and elevated brand and business consulting. Whether we’re helping a client navigate a multi-million dollar lawsuit or building the legal and structural backbone of a rising entrepreneur’s company, we do it with precision, foresight, and heart. We understand culture. We understand image. We understand what it takes to build, protect, and elevate something from the ground up.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. The legal profession, particularly in traditional law firm spaces, often rewards conformity and punishes individuality. As someone who is deeply creative, emotionally intelligent, and multifaceted, I constantly felt like I had to hide parts of myself to be taken seriously. I’ve been the youngest in the room, the only Black woman in the room, the loudest visionary in rooms that valued silence. And I’ve paid for it—sometimes in confidence, sometimes in lost opportunities, sometimes in peace.
But every time I was pushed out, I built something better.
I learned that there’s no timeline for success—and that sometimes being “off path” is exactly what leads you to your purpose. I learned that intuition is data. That rest is part of productivity. That creative thinking is a superpower in business. That alignment is more valuable than approval. And most of all, that integrity and imagination can absolutely coexist.
What I want the world to know about Greystone—and about me—is that we are here to challenge the way law is practiced and business is advised. We’re here to remind people that you don’t have to shrink to succeed. That you can build an empire and still lead with softness. That you can be brilliant, beautiful, spiritual, ambitious, and strategic—and not only is that okay, it’s powerful.
This business is a mirror of my evolution. It’s not perfect. But it’s intentional. And it’s just the beginning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend comes to town, it’s all about curating a week that reflects the full essence of L.A.—luxurious, grounded, healing, and a little wild when it needs to be. Some of my favorite places to take people are Brickhouse Boxing and Heimat Gym for a great workout. For restoration, I love Voda Spa—it’s a sanctuary. You walk in and instantly feel like your nervous system can breathe.
For dining and vibes, Dante Beverly Hills is a staple. The Polo Lounge gives old-school Hollywood magic, and Delilah is forever a favorite when I want the night to feel like a movie.
Whether we’re getting in a good sweat, soaking in steam, or dining somewhere that feels like a scene out of a screenplay, I’m all about creating an experience—something that lingers long after the week ends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people and forces that deserve recognition in my journey, but if I had to dedicate this shoutout, it would be to the women who raised me and the women who walk beside me. My mother, first and foremost, showed me what unwavering strength looks like—she moved through life with a grace that never cracked, even when the world gave her every reason to. She taught me that resilience can be elegant, and that leadership doesn’t require noise—it requires presence.
I also want to shout out my best friend and soul-sister, Trishonna—a powerhouse business leader and strategist who has helped shape not only my mindset but my trajectory. She’s the kind of woman who sees your vision even before you do, and pushes you toward it with love, clarity, and unapologetic brilliance. We’ve built, dreamed, healed, and led beside each other—and her support has been a mirror and a map for who I’m becoming.
And then there’s the tribe—the incredible circle of women, mentors, and visionaries who remind me that it’s safe to take up space, to evolve loudly, and to live a multidimensional life. They hold me up when I’m tired and hype me up when I forget who I am.
Finally, I have to credit the little girl inside me—the one who always believed in justice, in beauty, in possibility. She’s still here, still dreaming, and everything I build is for her.
