We had the good fortune of connecting with Britney Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

My thought process behind starting Beautiful Soul Cosmetics was helping women to understand how vitally important it is that we understand the beauty we hold within. I wanted something that was different, unique, personal, and empowering. Beautiful Soul Cosmetics is not only invested in your outer appearance but we are invested in your total being. So, we’ve created a variety of products that will enhance your outer beauty while speaking to the beauty of your soul.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Beautiful Soul Artistry and Cosmetics is an empowerment movement, it’s a way of living and embracing every part of who you are as a woman, this is what sets us apart. While beating your face or putting on our products you’re sure to be encouraged.

Getting to where we are took a lot of sacrifice, dedication, prayer, learning, character adjustments, faith and money. It wasn’t easy but commitment made a difference.

How did you overcome challenges? 

I overcame my challenges by believing in the vision, accomplishing the goals I set even if it wasn’t in the time frame I set, not changing my mind and making God my CEO.

I’ve learned to be mindful of my thoughts, confessions, not to take business personal, to be realistic with my goals and to rest.

What do you want the world to know about your business? 

I want the world to know that Beautiful Soul Cosmetics is invested in the lives of those we encounter. We don’t just want you to look beautiful but to be beautiful from the inside out. We want you to believe in the beauty, strength and love that flows from you and impart that beauty into the world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Bestia to eat, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood to visit and a day of sightseeing to check out and see the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to God, my husband, children, manager Anquinett Pope and all my customers and supporters. Whether you have invested, purchased a product, encouraged me, booked an appointment, or just simply told someone about me, I want to say thank you. I would be nothing without you all.
