Meet Britney Kronberger | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Britney Kronberger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Britney, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had a passion for photography, a love that began in my childhood. I still vividly remember my dad gifting me my very first disposable camera one Christmas. I spent hours snapping countless pictures of my dog, Nala. In middle school, I joined the yearbook team, and by high school, I was taking my dad’s camera to school every day, capturing fun and silly moments with my friends.
When I became a mom, my desire to document every moment grew even stronger. I hired photographers to capture my daughter’s milestones—her first at six months, then again at one and two. I got creative with Pinterest-inspired ideas like cake smashes, surprise pregnancy announcements, and my favorite, a hot air balloon-themed first birthday shoot. I had so many ideas I wanted to bring to life, and one day, I realized something: I can do this myself. Instead of paying someone else to capture these moments, I could bring my visions to life with my own camera.
The experience was so much fun that I decided to turn my newfound passion into a business. My goal was clear: to offer affordable photography services so that everyone could experience the joy of capturing their most cherished moments, just as I had.

What should our readers know about your business?
My top priority for my business has always been to offer high-quality photos at an affordable price. I frequently hear comments suggesting I should raise my prices, but that would completely go against the core of why I started this journey. I never intended for photography to be my primary source of income. My goal has always been to ensure that everyone can create lasting memories without being discouraged by cost. I truly love what I do, and the most fulfilling moments are when I witness the pure joy and even tears of happiness from clients when they see their finished photos. That reaction is a dream come true for me.
Of course, there are challenges, like promoting myself and battling the voice in my head that constantly second-guesses me or questions whether I’m good enough. But once I start shooting and see my work come to life, all of those doubts fade away. There’s always room for growth and improvement, and I embrace that—knowing it comes with time and practice. I want the world to know that I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited for the journey ahead.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my best memories have been at Sharkeez in Hermosa Beach. They have the best hot wings and cucumber jalapeño margaritas—seriously, so good. If you’re in the mood for something sweet afterward, head over to The Baked Bear right across the street for a warm brownie sundae, and thank me later. Another fun thing to do is rent bikes and cruise down the boardwalk along the beach. It’s such a great way to enjoy the view! And if you’re up for a hike, Bluff Cove in Palos Verdes is a beautiful spot with amazing views. It’s one of my favorite places to go when I just want to take it all in.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, my children are the heart of this business. They are my biggest inspiration and my greatest accomplishment. Everything I do is for them. I am endlessly grateful for my best friend Tia, whose daily encouragement and affirmation keep me grounded and motivated. Then there’s Whitney, who hires me for just about everything—whether for her personal projects or businesses—her trust and support mean everything to me. I’m also thankful for my friend Gacey, who constantly calls with fresh ideas and pushes me to think bigger and bolder. And last but certainly not least, Jessie, whose recommendation opened up this incredible exposure opportunity. She is truly a God-send, and I am beyond grateful for her belief in me and my work.
