Meet Brittani Zonker | Celebrity Spray Tan Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittani Zonker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittani, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I wanted to help clients feel confident, empowered and beautiful. I wanted to create trust and a safe space for each client during their service. In creating my own business, I loved the idea that anything I wanted to create was possible. Every dream, every vision and every improvement would happen if I just worked incredibly hard for it. I was taught to dream big and always prepare for the next level of your career/life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always been creative and I blossom with one on one interaction. I have a special ability to make clients feel comfortable during their spray tan service. It is a true skill to make a naked woman feel unarmed while she’s vulnerable trusting me with her body. I find connection in deeper talk and I truly know my clients feel my passion and genuine love for what I do. It brings me such happiness and joy to make a woman feel even more confident in her own skin. As a former professional soccer player I learned the value of incredible physical and mental hard work. I have taken the same mental toughness into my career and push myself. There’s nothing more admirable than a person who is willing to put in all of the hard work to reach their goals. My advice is, don’t skip steps. You have to take one step at a time…each step teaches you new skills & lessons that will help you as your business grows. Learn your craft, have a business mentor or coach to help you stay on track with your goals and be nice. Have your intentions and your WHY clear for your brand. Set weekly, monthly and yearly goals. Also, celebrate yourself. It’s HUGE to start your own business. Be proud of the little things, because when you look back on your business growth- you’ll realize those were the BIG things!!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting LA, I would first give her a Bronzed By Britt Custom spray Tan!!! Glowing healthy skin makes every girl more confident. We would then adventure on bikes by the Santa Monica pier, hike in Malibu, eat delicious food Felix, Elephante, Wally’s, Eatly and so many more! The most fun experience is taking blankets out to the beach, hearing the waves crash and just connecting with your best friend on what’s important in life. And of course, my little maltipoo, whiskey girl would be included in many of the outdoor adventures! She’s a little love and lights up everyone’s life who comes in contact with her!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
One of the most impactful books on my mind and in growing my business is: Daring Greatly by a Brene Brown. “To love ourselves and support each other in the process of becoming real is perhaps the greatest single act of daring greatly.” Life is about connection, vulnerability and being brave enough to become what we are meant to become. I draw strength from clients and I am reminded how powerful words truly are.
