Meet Brittany Roberson | Hair Stylist, Paramedical Tattoo Artist & Body Sculptor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Roberson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my own business because I ultimately wanted to be in an industry that made people feel good. I always tell others I’m happy when I can make others happy. I also wanted to work on my terms because I have 5 beautiful children. My drive to serve others definitely started when I had a little girl of my own. It’s nothing like a little human coming into this world to show you how selfless you can really be.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a young mommy I became who I was because of my oldest. I use to take her to get her hair done all the time because I couldn’t do it at all. I said to myself one day you know what, it’s time for mommy to learn. I’m a great visual learner so I started watching a lot of videos and Family members who would do her hair. It didn’t take me long to catch on. Every time I did her hair people would ask who did it? It started with basically my daughter being a walking advertisement. Word of mouth ultimately grew my business and here I am 13 years later still running by word of mouth and loyal customers. My slight pivot to paramedical tattooing began in 2023 when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Doctors of course mentioned about her removing a breast and as my mom’s caregiver I immediately started looking at ways she can heal her open wound. I came across paramedical tattooing and seen how women were having their scars camouflaged and areolas tattooed back on. I thought wow, I definitely have to offer this to others and ultimately I wanted to be able to tattoo my mom had she ever needed the surgery. I got my license as a tattoo artist and now offer services that help people cover any scars they desire. What sets my business apart from others is specifically being a paramedical tattoo artist. A lot of people aren’t aware of these services that can camouflage Stretchmarks, repair any scar, and ultimately dramatically improve a scar as if it weren’t ever present! It’s such a game changer in the beauty industry and I love that people constantly ask how this is possible? It gives me another level up in my community because word of mouth is so powerful. The more people become aware of what I offer the more it grows. Furthermore, body sculpting was my next transition I added this service because I was already correcting scars so why not melt away unwanted fat. I tried body sculpting on myself 2 years ago and loved the immediate results so I decided to offer these services in my community as well. Not all of us want to go under the knife so I wanted the best non-invasive and permanent procedure to date. My brand is all about inclusiveness with every race and gender I can work with every skin color and I can do every cultures hair. I want the world to know that I can help everyone in my chair or on my table, it’s open for all. My business focuses on making you happy and feeling transformed once you leave my room. Every client has a story and if I can leave an impression on your life it’s definitely this way. I don’t feel I’ve had many set backs I was just put under a lot of pressure when I had to juggle to take care of my mom full time, be a wife, mommy, and run a full time business. God doesn’t give us more than we can handle and I truly had to step out on faith plenty of times and just trust Him. God came through every single time. I really feel like super mommy because still to this day I’m in awe of where God has placed me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely want to take my friend to a spa such as Glen Ivy Hot springs, I’m a pretty down to earth individual who has a lot of spontaneous moments. I couldn’t tell you where we’d go after because my friends and I tend to look into what seems fun in whatever area we visit and go there. I’m too spontaneous to really just have an itinerary set up. I for sure know that we all need a spa day so that’s one thing we all wouldn’t pass on. Rest and relaxation is needed always! I have a friend who books things to the T when it comes to a vacation and I’m the one who looks at the itinerary and says let’s do one of these and find another thing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, it’s so many people who played a role in my success from my Parents, family members and other beauty mentors. I can say recently it’s working along side April Marie at Diva Er Salon and Suites. Her willingness to help everyone in this beauty industry is awesome to experience. It’s nothing like working with someone who isn’t in competition with you but in a community so we all can win and be successful. I feel like I’m apart of a family.
