We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooklyn Wilde and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooklyn, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Above all the wonderful quotes and affirmations that there are out there, there’s one that’s really stuck with me this whole time. So much so that I’ve made it my life motto more or less, and that is, “work until you no longer have to introduce yourself.” To me, this quote speaks to the power of dedication and consistent effort. It’s about putting in the work, day in and day out, so that your impact and your presence speak for themselves. You don’t need to rely on introducing yourself, because the work you’ve done, the value you’ve brought, and the reputation you’ve built will do the talking for you. It’s a reminder to focus on making meaningful progress and letting your results speak louder than words ever could.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is all about creating stories that feel real, raw, and unapologetically human. What sets me apart is the way I weave my personal experiences with a blend of humor, grit, and authenticity. I’ve spent years building a career in producing, but what excites me now is stepping into my true calling as a writer and director. I’m passionate about telling stories that break down societal barriers, that reflect resilience, and that challenge expectations. I want my work to speak to people who’ve been overlooked, who’ve felt like they didn’t belong, or who’ve had to fight for their place in the world.

My path has been anything but easy. Coming from a rough upbringing and navigating a constantly shifting industry, there were plenty of challenges—especially in an industry that often rewards conformity. But I’ve always been determined to stay true to myself, to my vision, and to my values.

What I want the world to know about me is that I’m here to create change—whether that’s in the stories I tell, the people I collaborate with, or the way I approach my work. Life isn’t always easy, but I’ve learned to embrace the messiness, to push past the hurdles, and to keep moving forward. And ultimately, that’s what I want people to take away from my work: that no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through, it’s never too late to carve out your own path and make your mark.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If it were up to me, I wouldn’t suggest staying in the city for the whole week—California has so much natural beauty to offer! Last year, my childhood friend came to visit, and we took off on a road trip from Sequoia to Big Sur, the Redwoods in Humboldt County, and everything in between. But if we had to stay in the city, I’d still say LA is a fantastic place that never disappoints, no matter the time of day. Some of my personal favorites include the Atwater Farmer’s Market on Sundays, karaoke at Big Foot Lodge on Mondays (after grabbing dinner at Lil Dom’s Monday Night Supper), hiking Tuna Canyon in Topanga, and enjoying social hour at Mother Tongue. Right now, Dave Yaden and his band play at Delilah’s on Thursdays, and Black Rabbit Rose has an excellent free funk show on Fridays. Finally, my all-time favorite hike in LA is the Wisdom Tree, where you can take in 360-degree views of the city—from the mountains and ocean to the valley and downtown.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve definitely had some key people and experiences that shaped my success. First and foremost, I have to thank my mom. She instilled in me a grit and resilience that’s been essential to everything I’ve accomplished.

I also owe a lot to my grandparents. Even though they may not fully understand my journey, particularly in the ‘Hollywood’ world, they’ve supported me in their own way.

Lastly, I have to mention Happy. She’s been a prominent cheerleader for me and has seen me for who I am from the very beginning, which is so rare. I’m incredibly lucky to have her in my life. Her unwavering belief in me has meant the world, and I’m grateful for her support in ways I can’t fully express.
