We had the good fortune of connecting with Bruno De Witt Zanotto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bruno, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I decided to pursue this as my career because I truly have a passion for capturing sports moments for it to last forever, rather if its to share it with friends in social media or just to have it for you for memory to last for ever. I started as hobby taking photos of my son playing club soccer, never in a million years if you would have told me 5 years ago I would be taking photos & video of ones of the biggest athletes and sports team in the world, such as Lebron James, Douglas Costa, Cover the LA Galaxy, LAFC, the Mexican National team and interview one of Brazil’s biggest soccer legends Roberto Carlos, I would say that you was crazy.
I feel blessed to have such a supportive wife and blessed to be guided by God in this journey of mine. I remember in the beginning people use to say “Sky is the limit” now i understand and i feel that sky is the limit and i feel that God will continue to bless me throughout my journey.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am and consider myself a professional sports photographer & videographer. As i take my work and editing very serious. I don’t upload or give my clients a job that i dont feel is good enough, I take pride in what I do and how i do it. People don’t see what goes behind the cameras, hours, and hours and i mean hours of editing that i take pride and joy about doing. It was not a easy path, nothing that is worth in life comes easy, you have to put long hours and dedication to what you really want. I feel that i know a lot but i also feel that i can learn so much more.
Overcoming so many challenges with people hating and talking low on you and making fun of you every time you get your camera out, making fun of your brand BZFilms oh man (LOL) But putting those negative vibes aside and just focus on people who actually supports me and that are by my side.
Leasons I’ve learned, well i have 3 things.
1. Don’t say too much
2. Dedication is key
3. Put God first in everything
I want the world to know about my brand about BZFilms that this is only the beginning, that God willing i will continue to grow and grow from here, that I will never change and always be that humble young man with a simple camera that started 7 years ago. You got questions, I will answer and make time for anyone and everyone. Be yourself and be unique.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take him to a couple sporting events, have him go to a LA Galaxy game & LAFC soccer game, take him to the Drew League, Take him to an Angels game and Ducks game, and can’t forget a Laker game for sure. We would have to eat those hot dogs they serve after those sporting events or take him to In&Out for sure.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be having this opportunities without God guiding me and opening these doors for me, with the support from my wife Erika Castellon and family I’ve been able to accomplish so much. My wife Erika specially since many Saturday and Sunday’s where i had to go and work as most sporting events take place during the weekend she understood and supported me in pushing me to achieve my dreams.
My number 1 model and practice model my son Maximiliano. They say practice makes person well he was my photo and video model day in and out.
My supporters out there people who share my posts and photos and made me go viral couldn’t do it without them as well.
