We had the good fortune of connecting with Cailin McDuff and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cailin, what makes you happy? Why?
One of the top guiding principals that makes me happy is following my desire – it’s my north star and sense of truth. And in order to do this, I have had to drop all of my people pleasing tendencies, my desire to be “liked” or “good” or “performing” or whatever things other people expect of us. I have also had to drop the expectations I have for myself about looking good or “things making sense.” It really requires me to be in a constant, deep relationship with myself and the truth that is coming through me. Creating happiness then becomes an inside job – not a process of chasing a bunch of external things that you think might make you happy. But really looking inward at the simplicity of true desire. When I am fully following my desire, I’m in my body, grounded, alive, and connected to source energy. It’s really the best.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Desire Coach for women, and I am committed to bringing out magic and true, divine feminine nature in all women, I help women who feel a little high-strung or depleted get in touch with their bodies so that they can create lives full of desire, that they have designed. Through my work with women, they turn their lights back on and allow themselves to be bright in the world.
My main program is called Cocoon. It’s a fully embodied feminine experience where women get to release their sexual shame from the past in the safety of a “cocoon” with other women, delve into a science lab around their sexuality and power, and create their future path and purpose with their divine feminine force as the centerpiece. They learn how to be great sisters to each other and turn each other on!
I also offer an exclusive 1:1 program, where women are fully held as they release their past and get luscious, luxurious support on creating what’s next for them from their divine feminine nature. It’s where a woman’s sexuality, business ideas, voice in the world, creativity, passion, desire, pleasure, and leadership all come together to have a party and birth whatever wants to come out of her! Movements, relationships, businesses, art projects, podcasts, books – you name it, we do it.
I also love in person experiences. I hosted an event called, “The Slutty Soiree” last fall, which was a huge hit. This coming summer, I am hosting a retreat in Ojai to honor the energy of receiving inside of sisterhood for women. It’s going to feel luscious!
Lastly, I am the host of the podcast, “Any Way You Want It.” My show is about all about creating your life by desire – in any way that you want it to be! I have bold conversations with experts, teachers, friends, coaches, therapists, and everyday people to open fresh, uncharted, and sometimes unexpected conversations around intimacy, love, and life.
Through all of my programs and work in the world, my highest commitment is to support women to connect with their own divine nature and release shame around their sexuality. In doing so, they give themselves permission to create lives entirely based on desire.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In LA, my favorite restaurants in Silver Lake are Jewel and Little Pine. I also love taking people on tours of the stairs of Silver Lake – there are SO many. The swan boats at Echo Park lake are not to miss!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout-out to my first coach, Emily! She and I worked together for a few years, and she helped me in the early days to clear out ALL the muck that was in the way of me fully showing up and stepping into the possibility of my life. She was so patient and loving (while also not buying into the stuff that was in the way)! I cried A LOT in the beginning (and still do – let’s be honest), and I’m so grateful for the way she held me through it all.
