We had the good fortune of connecting with Camila Goodis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Camila, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Building a Pilates and personal training business wasn’t easy, but it was natural. I had the fire. I had the vision. What I needed was to create a space where that energy could live—where I could offer a high-level, personal, and holistic experience. One that respected the deep discipline of Pilates, the science of training, and the soul of each client’s journey.

I envisioned a studio where movement wasn’t about punishment or aesthetics—but about vitality. I wanted clients to walk out not just stronger, but lighter. More confident. More alive.

My business is my passion. It’s not just about Pilates or personal training—it’s about unlocking human potential, about giving people a space to feel safe, strong, and seen. It’s about redefining fitness as something soulful, intentional, and empowering.

This isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work is rooted in helping people feel strong, aligned, and confident in their bodies—physically and mentally. I specialize in Pilates and personal training, blending mindful movement with functional strength to create customized sessions that truly support each client’s lifestyle, goals, and unique body.

What sets me apart is my holistic approach. I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all workouts. I focus on long-term transformation by creating programs that are sustainable, intuitive, and empowering. I prioritize connection—with the body, breath, and mindset—and my clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling not just stronger, but more grounded and energized.”

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I started with nothing but passion, a few loyal clients, and a strong vision. There were moments of doubt, burnout, and setbacks—but I kept showing up, stayed true to my values, and let purpose lead the way. I’ve learned that consistency beats perfection, and that growth doesn’t always look like a straight line.”

What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients and the community I’ve created. Nothing compares to watching someone reconnect with their body and realize they’re stronger than they thought.

I want the world to know that my brand is about more than just fitness—it’s about feeling good in your skin, honoring your body, and creating a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle that lasts. My story is still being written, but every chapter is rooted in passion, resilience, and love for what I do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
✨ Day 1 – Beach Vibes & Grounding
We’d start in Santa Monica with a barefoot walk along the beach to soak up the ocean energy. Then head to True Food Kitchen for a nourishing lunch—maybe the ancient grains bowl or grilled salmon with seasonal veggies. After that, we’d explore the shops on Montana Ave and catch sunset at Palisades Park.

🌊 Day 2 – Venice Cool & Creative Energy
Morning Pilates on the rooftop (I’d guide the session, of course!), followed by smoothies from The Butcher’s Daughter in Venice. We’d walk Abbot Kinney, check out the street art, and maybe pop into a local gallery. Afternoon iced matchas and people-watching at Great White, and sunset at Venice Beach Skatepark—a must!

☀️ Day 3 – Malibu Day Trip
Pack the car and drive the coast to Malibu Farm for brunch on the pier. Spend the afternoon relaxing at El Matador Beach, then wrap up with a cozy dinner at Nobu Malibu (if we can snag a table!).

🧘🏼‍♀️ Day 4 – Wellness + Nature
Start the day with a hike in Temescal Canyon—the ocean views are everything. Then we’d head to Santa Monica Proper Hotel for spa time or a rooftop pool moment. Light lunch at Élephante (their whipped eggplant is a must), and maybe an evening breathwork or sound bath class.

🎨 Day 5 – Downtown Meets Zen
A day of contrast. Visit The Broad Museum, then recharge with lunch at Urth Caffé. Maybe check out a Pilates studio downtown or hit up a rooftop bar like Perch for sunset drinks with a view.

🌴 Day 6 – Movement + Markets
Morning beach workout or Pilates in the park, followed by brunch at Gjusta in Venice. Spend the afternoon browsing the Santa Monica Farmers Market, and cook dinner at home together with fresh California produce.

🧡 Day 7 – Slow Sunday
Final day = reset day. Walk to Blue Bottle Coffee, journal by the beach, do some gentle movement, and just take it slow. A farewell dinner at The Little Door or Plant Food + Wine in Venice to end the trip with intention.
