We had the good fortune of connecting with Can Türedi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Can, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Reading books. Nowadays people don’t realize how important is to read a book. They think they can google anything and reach conclusions by watching a tutorial on Youtube. They might reach their answers, but those answers lack depth. Reading a book will deepen your thought processes, and you will create what you create with more depth. I feel like the same about making music too. Everybody should play an instrument to exercise their brains. Creativity is achieved through how we render what we see, hear, taste, touch & smell. Reading books activate senses, making music activate the senses. Engage with your senses through making music and reading.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like creating something every day. I have to wake up and create. It can be an idea, an image, a paragraph of a story. I was lucky enough to make creating things my lifestyle. I don’t like wasting my time with unnecessary stuff such as mindlessly scrolling through social media feeds. I like to be focused and do what needs to be done.

To be honest I am still not where I want to be, until this time what kept me going was the constant inspiration that I gather from my surroundings. Beauty, color, stories, human beings. The universe is all very interesting to me. I like to observe everything and sometimes my brain says hey this moment was more different let’s dive in and explore.

You overcome the challenges one obstacle at a time. Just write a to-do list made from your obstacles. Work on them and hit check. Move on.

My story is simple I want to create audio-visual experiences that immerse people and engage their senses through various mediums.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d take them from the airport and would go straight to Venice Beach. Chill, watch the Ocean. Grab some Fish Tacos at Plancha Tacos.

Next-Day some surfing in Ocean Park and of course don’t forget to grab some Ice-Cream From Salt & Straw.

I’d like to take them to Los Leones Trail for a hike to burn the calories from the Ice-Cream and take them back to Silverlake Ramen for an amazing lunch menu with beer.

Some Yoga at Silverlake Meadows would be great and then we would finish the day with a bottle of red wine.

The next day would be spent biking near the LA River and getting some coffee at La Colombe Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Partner Ece Diler deserves recognition because she was with me since the beginning of my success. She is my muse & she’s the sole witness of how I work & create.
