We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Newman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candace, how does your business help the community?
At its core, Live Out L!ve is about creating access. The live entertainment industry can feel impossible to break into—especially for young people of color, women, and others who don’t have the networks or resources. Through the Live Out L!ve Foundation, we’ve built programs, workshops, and apprenticeships that introduce underrepresented youth to real career pathways in touring, festivals, and experiential events.

On the agency side, we produce concerts, brand activations, and cultural experiences that not only entertain but also create jobs and opportunities within our communities. Every show, every program, is designed with intention: to reflect the culture, to celebrate diversity, and to make sure people see themselves represented on stage and behind the scenes.

For me, social impact isn’t an add-on—it’s the reason Live Out L!ve exists. I know firsthand what it feels like to not have access, and I’m committed to making sure the next generation doesn’t have to climb the same walls I did.

What should our readers know about your business?
Live Out L!ve is more than a booking and touring agency — it’s a platform for elevating artists, creating unforgettable live experiences, and building careers in the music and events industry. What sets us apart is our hands-on, artist-first approach: we combine strategic planning with authentic mentorship and community-building, making sure every show, tour, and partnership reflects care, professionalism, and vision.

I’m most proud of the team we’ve built and the opportunities we’ve created for artists and young professionals. Seeing someone step into their power on stage or behind the scenes is incredibly rewarding.

My journey hasn’t been easy. I started with limited resources, navigating a male-dominated industry while learning every aspect of live events, marketing, and operations on the job. Persistence, faith, and the mentors and allies I found along the way helped me overcome each challenge. I’ve learned that resilience, adaptability, and building genuine relationships are just as important as skill and knowledge.

I want the world to know that Live Out L!ve is a space where passion meets purpose. Our story is about turning vision into action, giving artists and creatives the tools and opportunities they need to thrive, and proving that with dedication, mentorship, and community, anything is possible.
