Meet Cargo Qell | Rapper and activist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cargo Qell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cargo, how do you think about risk?
It showed me that losing breeds a winner in the long run.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally? We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
The want and drive to actually get somewhere in my craft and field. Seeing what’s out there already and wanting to contribute in a positive way. What sets me apart is my ability to put my voice on any instrumental thrown my way. As well as being able to sit in multiple rooms and hold my own. I’m excited about taking that next step. Getting placements on radio stations and movies. I’m most proud of my work ethic which is how I got to this point, persistence. Nothings easy in life. With no money, resources, or guidance, I had to find my way. Lessons I’ve learned is that people only around for a short time. I’m not just a rapper. I advocate for mental health, neurology, and communities in need.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The bridge. Perfect view and great conversation starter. We’d consciously worry about what we’d put in our body. Of course we heading over to Sweetchick. Shoutout my boy John Seymour. But, we’d get a few salads. Go to the cookies store. Just vibe out. My blood cousin and his bros got a crib nearby too so we getting into a lot.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother for birthing me and blessing me with my musical prowess. Shoutout to TRG Haze for her input and soul she’s given my music.
