We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Butcher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I first thought of creating my business, my initial thought was to create a non-judgmental self-care community. I wanted to create a community that focuses heavily on self-love, self-care, and prioritizing peace. I wanted to offer safe spaces for people to grow in the name of self-care. I couldn’t find this anywhere so I took it as a sign for me to be the one to create it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cassie’s Cure is a self-care and wellness brand that teaches women how to practice self-care, prioritize their peace, and have fun while doing it. It’s a wellness community I’ve created for women who love to connect and learn how they can include more self-care in their daily routines.

When I think of what I am most proud or excited about, it’s the community of women I’ve built and the resources I’ve been able to share with them. Being able to create helpful wellness worksheets, monthly self-care calendars, and a mental health resource guide and see how impactful it’s, makes me feel so proud! I feel blessed to be able to do this kind of work in this lifetime. I feel like God has guided me throughout this entire process.

I started my business in January 2020 and it’s been a journey taking time to learn how to host retreats, create 1:1 mentorship opportunities, start an online apparel + stationary stop, and create virtual and in-person wellness events. When I find myself wanting to give up, I just try to take my own advice and take a break from time to time because this is just not something I can give up on.

I love what I do and who I get to do it for. I am excited to be going back to school to become a therapist so I can be even more helpful to people in this world when it comes to self-care, mental health, and wellness!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles offers a diverse range of experiences, especially in the realms of self-care, wellness, and entertainment. So some fun, interesting, and exciting places I would recommend folks try are:

Yoga session at Griffith Observatory
Meditation class at the Unplug Meditation studio
Catch a performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall or the Hollywood Bow
Attend a live comedy show at the Laugh Factory or the Comedy Store.
Westwood Village Farmers’ Market on Thursdays
Hike the Runyon Canyon

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this shoutout to all the women in the world who are in a season where they just want to love themselves better. I dedicate this to the women who are always trying their best to make things work. To the mothers, sisters, aunties, friends, and cousins who just keep trying to show up for themselves in this world, I SEE YOU AND I THANK YOU! Thank you for not giving up on yourself. I pray peace finds you and makes a home in your heart. Last but not least, I want to dedicate this shoutout to God. Without him, I don’t think I’d be the woman I am today.
