Meet Celine Diva Tulaar | Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Celine Diva Tulaar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Celine Diva, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have been in love with acting since the first time my mom took me into acting classes when I was 5 years old. Through that classes, I found my passion. And when I was a freshman in high school I got an opportunity to star in a soap opera back in my home country Indonesia. I truly enjoyed all of the processes even though I barely got enough time to rest. And through that experience, I knew that when I enjoyed doing something, no matter how tiring it is I won’t feel tired of doing it and at the end of the day I would just feel happy. And that’s why I choose acting as my career because I want to enjoy my work so that I won’t be just doing it because I have to but because I enjoy and like doing it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I used to be a national athlete for Wushu which is a modern KungFu back in Indonesia. As an actor, one of my goal is to act in an action movie. I want to showcase my ability to do martial arts and combine it with acting. And as I said it before I used to be an athlete. So, to take a step closer towards acting in an action movies I decided to retrain my self. Because once I got the opportunity to act in that type of movie I don’t want other people to do the stunts, I want to do it my self. And I think that’s one of the things that set me apart from other actors.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As I’m not a local and I’ve been here for only a year and a half, I can’t say I’m the perfect person to help for coming up with an itinerary. But if I have to the attractions and activities that I will bring my friends to visit and experience are Universal Studio, Disneyland, Santa Monica Pier, Driving to Malibu, Big Bear and Orange County and Thrifting. As for the foods I probably will take them to a bunch of Asian food restaurants, especially Korean food. And most probably will take them from one Korean BBQ place to another.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my family back home, especially my parents. Without them, I won’t be here right now trying my hardest to achieve my dream. They have always been supporting me and always reminded me to be grateful for everything that I have.
