Hi Celine, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
There are many factors that contribute to my success and the success of NutMutt. A clear vision and genuine passion are the drivers that set the direction and fuel the perseverance needed to pursue my long-term goals. Challenges are inevitable almost every step of the way, but the resilience to overcome them and view each setback as an opportunity to learn and improve is what keeps me on course. It’s about trial and error, and the willingness to embrace the learning curve that comes with starting a new venture.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At NutMutt, we’re continuously building our brand on a foundation of perseverance, unwavering dedication, and consistent hard work. Our journey to creating an organic pistachio spread that’s pure and wholesome has been anything but easy, punctuated by challenges that are a natural part of any business venture. By embracing each obstacle as a learning opportunity, we’ve honed our craft and strengthened our resolve. We understand that true success doesn’t come overnight; it’s the product of steady effort and the wisdom gained through overcoming adversity. Our aim is to offer a tasty and nourishing alternative to traditional spreads. We pride ourselves on delivering a dessert spread that’s both delicious and health-conscious, without artificial ingredients or excessive additives— a guilt-free indulgence born from our commitment to quality and the belief that the best things in life are worth working for. As we look to the future, we’re excited to innovate and expand our range, with additional flavors already in development. NutMutt is not just about what we’ve achieved but also about what’s next, as we continue to pursue excellence and bring new, exciting products to the table.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I relocated to Los Angeles five years ago and quickly became enamored with the city’s vibrant diversity. On a Friday night, I’d introduce them to the iconic Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank for a nostalgic glimpse of a classic car show and to savor some of the best burgers in town. Saturday evening, we’d head to West Hollywood for a night on the town to enjoy a dinner and spend the rest of the night dancing away. For Sunday’s agenda, we’d explore the Malibu Farmer’s Market in the morning, indulge in a seafood lunch at Malibu Seafood Fresh Fish Market & Patio Café, and then unwind with a leisurely afternoon on the sand.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my brother, Aren Mirzaian. Throughout my life, and in the complexities of business, he has been my guiding star and mentor. Despite his demanding role as the Founder and CEO of MyChoice, an insurance technology company in Canada, he never fails to make time for me. Whether it’s our weekly business discussions or our late-night strategy sessions, he’s always there to talk through the ups and downs, pushing me to persevere when times get tough. Having him in my corner is invaluable – his belief in me has been my greatest source of strength.

Another important shoutout I’d like to give to my husband Shant Minas, Principal Engineering Geologist at Applied Earth Sciences, but really a renaissance man. He’s been an incredible pillar of support for my business from the very beginning. He hears me out, whether I’m ranting or enthusiastically sharing ideas, and always encourages me to stay focused and on track with his positive mindset. His support comes in many forms. Shant plays an invaluable role in my journey and I’m fortunate to have him by my side.
