Meet Chantal & Elsa | Creative Directors & Photographers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chantal & Elsa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chantal & Elsa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We were and still are committed to playing our role in saving our planet. It all started as a hobby, 7 years ago, by collecting broken, unwanted records and turning them into unique art pieces.
Knowing that vinyl records are made from PVC, which comes from refined oil and can take up to 1000 years to decompose in a landfill.
Each of our art piece is handmade using graffiti and mixed media technique, bringing to the world upcycled works of art.
After many successes and failures, trials and errors, our hobby has grown into a business and as we speak, our art pieces are rocking the walls of many houses and offices around the globe.
We launched our concept Trash Vinyl Art in 2014 as a gateway to spread awareness, and also to make the world a better place by using upcycled vinyl records.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Born and raised in the Middle East, our story is close to many women struggling from the same conscious and unconscious bias in our society. The “male-dominant” belief that stops women and girls from living up to their full potential.
We’re here to tell you that women can empower themselves, rise above their circumstances and achieve their dreams.
We’ve learned the hard way that if we do not stand up for what we believe in, for what we deserve, we will only fade away.
We want all women, especially those living in the Middle East, to fight for their own rights and dreams.
Be determined! Be strong! Be who you want to be!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lebanon might be a small country but it sure is a place worth visiting. we would definitely take them to see the Temple of Baalbek, the Cedars of God and some wine tasting in one of our best wineries in the Bekaa Valley. Would also spend a day in Batroun, on the beach and wander the streets of the old Phoenician town…Actually there’s so much to do in such a small country!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would love to dedicate our success to our families and friends who have been encouraging and supporting us since the beginning of our journey.
