We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, what role has risk played in your life or career?
If you don’t take risks in your life, I fully believe you will never achieve happiness. for over 27 years of my life, I played it safe. Once I graduated college in 2011, I went directly into my full time salary position at a retail store. Within two weeks, I was organizing the feminine products aisle at 4am asking myself “Where did it all go wrong?” That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I was done leading a life without risks. That moment in the that aisle happened 10 years ago and in those 10 years, I took the following risks: -Booked a one way flight to California
-Quit my job to become a comedian
-Became a content creator
-Started a pizza business
-Finally got sober

I am proud to say that 10 years later from that moment in the feminine products aisle, I am a full time comedian, content creator with followers all over the world, pizza shop owner that sells out every weekend, sober for the first time in my life, and ,most importantly, finally happy in my life. Take risks, worry never!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love telling stories! It is that simple for me. On stage, I tell personal stories about my life with my own comedic spin. My goal in all my work is to be relatable to as many people as possible. I make funny videos with my dog, Ozzy, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. He is also the inspiration for my pizza pop up in Los Angeles called “Ozzy’s Apizza”. And No! It was not easy. I have been struggling with self confidence and depression for years that was tied to my alcoholism, which I’m proud to say is finally under control and I am sober. I learned that you have to be as authentic and genuine as possible through your art. People see right through “fakeness” and that is why i make fun relatable content that so many people around the world an relate to. Dog owners, millennials, anyone!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is the easiest question ever! My best friend is Randy Newbury which means I have the greatest best friend of all time. I would first pick him up from the airport and take him directly to In N Out Burger. Needs to be done first thing so we can move on. Then, we would go to Universal Studios and act like 12 year olds all day. Take him to some of my favorite food spots like Birria San Marcos and Bills Burgers. Other than food, we will probably fall sleep on the beach while his fiancée Allie begs us to go see the school where they filmed Buffy The Vampire Slayer.Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I want to give my Shoutout to comedian Zachary Foster. He was the first person in the comedy world who gave me an opportunity to perform on stage and I will never forget that. He also became a close friend and helped me navigate and understand the comedy world here in Los Angeles. I am eternally grateful for his guidance and friendship.
