Meet Christiana Davis | Educator, Author, and Worship Leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christiana Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christiana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For me, writing “Spaces” as a devotional has been a deeply personal journey rooted in my desire to merge faith with my cultural inspiration. Moreover, writing has served as both a financial faculty and a means to establish what I know. Through the process of crafting this devotional, I’ve not only shared my beliefs and cultural insights but also found avenues to sustain myself financially. This project has allowed me to explore and articulate my understanding of spirituality while also providing a platform to share that knowledge with others, thereby reinforcing my own understanding in the process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I am most proud of is the ability to touch hearts and souls through my work, whether leading worship, crafting devotional literature, or inspiring students in the classroom. Each opportunity to share my gifts is a privilege, and I am excited about the potential to make a positive impact on individuals and communities.
Getting to where I am today has been a journey filled with challenges and triumphs. It has not always been easy, but through determination and resilience, I have navigated obstacles and emerged stronger. Whether facing setbacks or personal doubts, I have learned to lean on my faith, draw strength from my support system, and persevere with grace and humility.
Along the way, I have learned valuable lessons about the power of authenticity, the importance of continuous growth, and the impact of genuine connection. I have discovered that success is not measured solely by achievements but by the lives we touch and the legacy we leave behind.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am deeply committed to creating experiences that inspire, uplift, and transform. Whether through music that moves the soul, words that stir the spirit, or lessons that enlighten the mind, I strive to foster connections that transcend boundaries and unite us in our shared humanity. My story is one of faith, creativity, and service, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share it with the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve worn many hats throughout my life— educator, worship leader, and author. So, I have many people to thank within each role that I’ve played.
In reflecting on my journey and the creation of “Spaces,” I must dedicate a heartfelt shoutout to my family and friendship circle, whose unwavering support and encouragement have been the bedrock of my endeavors. Their love and belief in me have fueled my creativity and sustained me through the challenges of writing. Additionally, I am grateful to God, whose presence and guidance have illuminated my path and inspired the spiritual insights woven into the book.
I must also acknowledge the profound influence of musicians Judith McAllister, Kim Johnson, Jason White, and Dr. Tony Hardy, who have inspired me musically and as a worship leader and voice throughout my journey.
Finally, I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance of Evelyn Rickenbacker, whose leadership and mentorship have been invaluable in shaping my professional academic journey. And, I must extend recognition to my colleagues within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, whose collaboration and camaraderie have enriched my experience as an educator.
