Meet Christina Emporia | Production Coordinator & Marketer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Emporia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The entertainment industry needs a constant fuel of hunger and passion to move from project to project, to keep going after what you want, where you want to be. Sustaining this can be tiring.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I always liked the stage and filmmaking. When I was younger I did dance, theater, and took acting classes in NYC. I love to perform and express. When I went to college at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL; It was here that I opened up more about who I am and to others. I went to a concert at a popular venue at the time and saw Skrillex perform. I got to meet him and speak to him before he played. This was right before he blew up in the mainstream media. I didn’t even know what Dubstep was, but after I saw this show, I knew I wanted to do events and music to some extent. I threw a few events on my own, and it wasn’t easy, I had friends run my door and help me. As time went on, I got to do major events and produced some rewarding shows and go to do big festivals. It wasn’t easy at first, but once you focus and keep going towards your goal, you really can train your mind that you can do anything you want. It’s the strength of the mind that really makes our reality. I have learned that you need to put yourself out there and not be shy, network, talk to people. Emporia is a product of many things creative and will keep creating footprints of different projects that can hopefully leave an impact on others and inspire people to go after what they want.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to downtown Burbank and eat at Granville, which is one of my favorite restaurants. We would go on a hike at Eaton Canyon, I love this hike and seeing the waterfall at the end. One of my favorite drinking spots would be Mama Shelter, this spot has the cutest rooftop and superb cocktails. I would bring them to a couple museums like: Icons of Darkness, Mocha, or the Getty. A few beautiful lookout spots to just sit and chat and embrace the scenery along the Malibu canyons. These would be my top places and activities to do and go to.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout to Danny Bitar, who is like a second father to me. Since working with him, my success has gone up, and I have had amazing life and career experiences because of his leadership and support of believing in me. He motivates and has taught me business strategies that I can take with me through life.
