We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Winget and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was a stay at home mom for almost 20 years. When my marriage ended, I knew I had to change the way I lived. I hadn’t worked in over 2 decades and I had to find a way to finance my life and build a future. It was covid and we were all in lock down. My boyfriend, Michael, knowing I am a crystal lover, bought me a crystal online. When I was looking for a job, he suggested I start my own crystal business. We went to Quartzsite, Arizona with a couple thousand dollars and I had little idea where this was going to take me. We made our first bulk crystal purchase and Earth’s Candy Crystals was born. Michael then proceeded to get me a retail gig with Bristol Farms selling my famous crystal airplants and that money went back into growing our inventory. Now paired with a brazillian miner, Earth’s Candy Crystals bring high vibe quality crystals to events, including farmers markets, gem shows, pop up, music festivals and streets fairs, across southern California, as well as online at Earthscandycrystals.com, at incredibly low prices. In addition I am a certified massage therapist, holistically certified energy healer and sound healer, working 3 mornings a week at a chiropractic office, as well as having my own private healing clientele.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is allowing me to live my very best life and be my most authentic self. I am still learning and growing everyday. I started knowing very little about running a business. Once I got into the healing aspects of crystals I knew I wanted to expand on that. I started by getting my holistic certification in crystal chakra healing. That opened a whole other world. I knew I could impact more people’s healing journey by integrating massage therapy with energy work, so I went back to school and got my massage certification. Juggling a strict school and then intern hours would not have been possible without the support of my family, who basically kept my crystal business buzzing while I finished school. Then I added sound bowl and tuning fork therapy to my holistic practice, as well as certifications in cupping, visceral abdominal massage, TMJ massage.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I grew up in LA County but now being a Ventura County girl for several years, I love the more laid back slower pace that Ventura county brings, and I will tell you a secret, I’m a homebody at heart. A Sunday at Channel Island Harbor Farmer’s Market, where you can find me vending almost every Sunday. Followed by a stroll around the harbor and a visit to the beach to look for sea glass. Back roads back to my Simi Valley home for a delicious home cooked meal followed by libations and chill time in our back yard by the pool in the moonlight. I’ve been known to do some ritual work in my back yard so you never know where the evenings may take you at my house.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My boyfriend, Michael, he is my grounding force! More powerful than black tourmaline for me. He grabs the string to my hot air ballon, keeping me grounded and supporting me in all ways possible. My daughter, Dani Winget, who has their own business, Mercurial Star Creations. We rolled together for years doing events and markets together. Now Dani has ventured out on their own and I am loving watching them grow in their art and confidence. My daughter, Allison who comes and helps me out at my events. My daughter Heather, who helps with my house and my super puppa, Karma, when we are gone at events. My son, Dylan, who supports me from afar as he builds his life in Michigan. My grandson’s, Zane and Dean who help me sort crystals and helps Mike clean our freshly mined crystals. And my beautiful grand daughter Zoey, who’s growing up with a crystal in her hand and magically energy in her heart.
