Meet Chrys Landeros | Fitness Professional & Lifestyle Guide

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrys Landeros and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrys, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the brave dreamers, the wild weirdos, those who move through the world with childlike curiosity, sweet vulnerability and unconditional love.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I know, without a doubt, I am here to be of service. I am here to help people achieve their optimal potential. I believe in balance and acknowledging that an integrative approach to wellness is key. This means taking care of your mind, body and spirit. No method is exactly the same from one person to the other.
I believe every person has the answer within them. They simply need to be asked the right questions, guided in the right direction and supported along their journey.
My fitness certifications cover many modalities: yoga, mobility, cycle, running, strength, HIIT… but my specialty is empowering people to move with awareness, intention, and appreciation for their vessels.
As a Certified Lifestyle Guide/Health Coach I use an integrative approach. I provide guidance on methods from meditation to physical activity to travel to social bravery to manifesting to nutrition and so on… every client is unique and so is the map of their journey.
I am a facilitator of greatness. Whether that’s in a group fitness class, one on one session or collaborative event.
This path is not always easy but I know it’s worth it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Just last week, a friend visited from Arizona for the first time ever! He was only here for less than 48 hours so I squeezed in a ton of fun. He’s an exceptionally talented artist I met at a party in Joshua Tree while he was painting. So, of course, I had to take him to Venice straight from LAX. We strolled on the boardwalk, did a little bit of shopping, arrived just in time for a perfect Cali sunset and watched the skateboarders do their thing. Then drove a few blocks to Abbott Kinney and had an incredible feast at The Butcher’s Daughter… the vegan gnocchi is mind-blowing *drooling*. With full bellies, I did a quick outfit change in the car, and we headed to Spotlight in Hollywood. So many things I love about this location! They have two giant disco balls and a stunning outdoor space. We boogied until they closed. The next morning, (more like afternoon), we visited an incredible vintage shop in Long Beach called Goods on Orange. They have a great collection of items from housewares, clothing, knickknacks, accessories, shoes, and plants. If you like vintage, your heart will be very happy here and the owner is super dope! We had a fun little bonfire that evening. The next day before we had to rush back to LAX, we stopped for one more delicious vegan meal at The Wild Chive in Long Beach. Wear your loose pants… the food is yummy! These are just a few places… LA is simply too grand and amazing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout must be given to my Momma! She is a fierce, intelligent, independent Latina. She paved a path that allowed me the freedom to be creative and wild. She is my number one supporter and bff!
My second shoutout must be given to Equinox. I have worked in the wondrous world of fitness for over two decades, and Equinox still remains the innovative leader in the industry. As the Group Fitness Manager of their Huntington Beach location, I am blessed with the opportunity to work alongside the best in the business. I am grateful every day for each experience I exchange with our phenomenal members and top-tier group fitness instructors.
Third, The Institute for Integrative Nutrition for compiling a vast amount of knowledge into their Health Coach Certification Program. These are the tools I utilize to help my clients become the best versions of themselves.
Last, but definitely not least, a huge shoutout to Michael Singer, the author of The Untethered Soul for helping me navigate how to be a spiritual being having a human experience.
