We had the good fortune of connecting with Claire Blanc and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Claire, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve pursue an artistic career because creativity is something that I need to live my life properly.
It took me a long time to realize that I needed to create as much as I need to sleep, eat or drink!
This is one of the things that I need in my life to be in balance. To get to that creative space regularly to be able to find harmony in my day to day life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an abstract / expressionist/ surrealist artist. When I get into the ‘artistic’ space, my work is to let it flow, trying to detach from any judgement, critic, believe systems or anything in the way of the true expression of the essence.
My work is to bring the unseen, unspeakable to life. I am sharing my experiences with the other realms of life into paintings.

What excite me the most is when the painting is taking shape. I kind of discovers how the translation looks like as it appears on the canvas. When I am able to get back to the space I was in, just by looking at the painting, it is magic to me. There are beings for me, portals who you allow to take your hand and bring you into another time and space.

This sensation when someone access this realm by looking at my painting is quite a feeling! Sharing my way to get out of the struggle to the solution is what excite me the most.
This feeling did bring me to share my abilities to help people overcome their physical and emotional pain also through energy healing.
It was not easy at first as I always knew I wanted to help people with my healing abilities but didn’t know how.
First I had to overcome the doubts and insecurities. I started to help in the spirit world, passing ghosts into the other side, clearing lands and houses. At one point, I gained more confidence to apply all the energy healing knowledge that I learnt since my childhood, I started to do it on friends and family. Theirs feedback and witnessing their fast and steady changes got me to do it professionally.

My goal and interest in life is to get to the essence of life. Getting to the most authentic part of myself and letting this part lead and be my life. That’s also the way that I help my clients today, by teaching them to get back to themselves and help them find the way to their own authenticity in their day to day life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would go to the Broad, eat at Grand central market, take the Angel flight and do moca the afternoon.
Day 2 we would do the art district, eat at the urth caffe, scroll down little to little tokyo and have diner there.
Day 3 Pasadena, Norton Simon museum, scroll down the old Pasadena, eat at True Food Kitchen.
Day 4 we would have the whole day to The Huntington Library.
Day 5 Whole day at the Arboretum
Day 6 and 7 I would bring my friend to OJai in Ventura county. We would to some hike along the water, do horse back riding, eat at the Deer Lodge and enjoy the dowtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without the support of my partner , friend and husband Simon Blanc, I wouldn’t be here.
First, he has the opportunity to come in the U.S. while we where together and asked me to come with him.
I learnt so much on myself by living in another country. I discovered what were my strong points and which weren’t!

Simon supported my different creative projects al along. He gave me the time and space to be able to get deeply into myself, and see what were the most important things I needed to share with the world. This time and space were the most valuable gift in my life.

My daughter Lea has played such an important role in my success, she gave me so much unconditional love that I could receive. Without her and this love, I wouldn’t be here. I thank her for her patience and understanding too.

Other people like Marina Kokush really helped me in my artistic way. As a friend, she helped and still help me to get to manifest my vision onto the business side. Also so much support from her as a fellow artist and mother. She is a inspiration for me the way she can balance her mother and career life.

My last person I want to give credit to is my friend Chesaray Alfen. She has been there with me through doubts and difficulties, always helping me to get back to myself and making it happen businesswise too.

I feel so lucky that these people share my life!
