Meet Clarissa Hoffmann | Empowerment Coach for Actors & Voice Over Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Clarissa Hoffmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Clarissa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Honestly, the most important factor behind my success has been saying yes to courageous, sometimes messy action—without waiting for everything to be perfect. I decided early on that I’d rather be bold, have fun, and trust the process than sit on the sidelines overthinking. That playful, ‘this or something better’ mindset has carried me through moving from Germany to the US for acting and winning acting awards very soon after, starting my superpower coaching business to empower other female actors, and doing amazing voiceover work for major global brands.
As an Empowerment Coach and breathwork facilitator, that approach lets me guide ambitious, creative women—especially actresses—into their own breakthroughs, helping them rise into their next career level with confidence and clarity. And as a German voiceover talent here in the US, the same fearless spirit has helped me land commercials for major global brands, tutorials for reputable online academies, and even being the German voice of one of the biggest language learning apps worldwide.
It all comes down to trusting that taking action, learning as you go, and keeping it fun will always magnetize the right opportunities. My mantra is: Courage + joy = success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For me, art has always been about the exploration of the human condition, the possibility of personal transformation and creating greater compassion in the world. Whether it’s stepping into a character as an actress, giving voice to a brand as a voice-over talent, or guiding ambitious women through breathwork as a coach, my mission is the same: to inspire, encourage and transform individuals and audiences to be their most authentic, powerful self.
What sets me apart is that I don’t separate art from life—I live it. Acting showed me how powerful our minds are, to be my authentic self even when other people are watching and that it’s possible to create our own favourite character for ourselves. I see myself as a bridge between creativity and consciousness, between boldness and play, between dreams and the grounded action it takes to make them real.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I didn’t come from a family in the industry, and I had to build everything from scratch. At the beginning of my career, I did things that might have seemed “crazy” to others—like sneaking into Cannes Film Festival events with nothing but determination and a dream.
I took big, messy action and learned to trust myself, even when the path wasn’t clear. I’ve faced rejection, doubt, and plenty of moments where it felt easier to quit. But I’ve learned that the real art is in how you show up for yourself when things don’t go your way. For me, that’s meant cultivating a growth mindset: every challenge is feedback, every setback is an invitation to refine, and every leap—no matter how wild—opens the door to something bigger.
I’m most proud that today, my work is a fusion of all the parts of me. I get to inspire through my voice—whether I’m recording for global brands, performing on stage or screen, or leading breathwork journeys that shift people’s lives. My coaching isn’t just about strategy; it’s about helping women in the acting and creative world see themselves as powerful creators who don’t have to shrink, settle, or play by old rules.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is this: you can create a life that feels magical and expansive when you dare to follow your heart, even if it looks unconventional. You don’t need to wait for permission, you don’t need to fit in, and you don’t need to silence your voice. My story is proof that authenticity, courage, and a willingness to play bigger than your fears can change everything.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to give a big shoutout to the books that shaped my journey and the people who fueled my courage. “The Intent to Live” by Larry Moss has been my acting bible—it taught me that storytelling is sacred, raw, and transformative. The “Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle helped me elevate my consciousness and recognize the power of detaching from limiting thoughts and stories in our minds. And “You’re a Badass” by Jen Sincero reminded me that humor and authenticity are just as powerful as strategy in the manifestation process.
And of course, my mom deserves the biggest thank you. She always encouraged me to trust myself, follow my heart—even when it looked “crazy” to others—and take bold leaps. Thanks to her, I felt confident enough to dream bigger than what people around me thought was possible. One of my favorite memories is sneaking into Cannes Film Festival events – together with her – at the very beginning of my acting career. That was one of those “crazy” actions that actually opened doors. Her belief in me taught me not to care so much about other people’s opinions, but instead to trust that I’m good either way—and that has been priceless in both acting and coaching.
