We had the good fortune of connecting with Clarke Ball and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Clarke Ball, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
One of the most pivotal decisions I made in my career was deciding to truly prioritize my clients’ needs and experiences, no matter the situation. I remember early on, when I was working with one of my first clients, they were overwhelmed and anxious about buying their first home. I realized in that moment how much more this process is than just transactions and contracts—it’s deeply personal. That’s when I made the decision to go beyond what was expected, to not only be their agent but to be their guide, their confidante, and their advocate.

Since then, I’ve made it my mission to ensure that every client I work with feels fully supported at every step, whether they’re buying, selling, or leasing. These aren’t just business deals—these are major life transitions, and I understand how important it is to feel like you have someone in your corner. I want my clients to know that I’m here for them, that I genuinely care about their experience, and that I’ll do everything in my power to make sure they feel informed and empowered. By being that kind of resource, I’ve built trust that goes beyond the sale, and that trust is what’s driven my success. It’s more than just real estate—it’s about building relationships and being a part of a defining moment in someone’s life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve had a lot of support along the way, especially from my mentor and business partner, Rena Braud, who is an industry veteran. She has taught me so much about the real estate field, and her guidance has been invaluable. It’s definitely not always easy, especially in real estate where there’s so much to know. Every transaction is different, and being teachable and willing to learn is critical because there’s always something new to navigate.

One of the biggest challenges is dealing with the wide range of situations, personalities, and life dynamics that come with residential real estate. You’re not just dealing with contracts—you’re getting a deep look into people’s lives, their finances, their living situations, and sometimes things even their closest friends or family don’t know. Real estate is incredibly personal, so I pride myself on meeting people where they are in life and doing what I can to support and assist them through whatever situation they’re facing. At the end of the day, it’s about being adaptable and providing the best possible care and guidance for my clients.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Los Angeles native, born and raised, so I like to think I know the ins and outs of my city pretty well. If my best friend were visiting, I’d start by taking them to the beach—because that’s a must! I’m really drawn to the South Bay, so we’d likely spend time near The Strand in Hermosa Beach or Redondo Beach. And of course, we’d drive into Palos Verdes to take in the stunning ocean views and cliffs.

For a fun night out, I’d definitely head to Level 8 in downtown LA, located at the Moxy Hotel. The vibe is incredible, and there are so many bars and restaurants to explore in the area—it’s perfect for a night of drinks and fun. I’d also take them to COSM, a new spot in Inglewood, for an immersive shared reality experience that’s unlike anything else.

When it comes to food, I’d have to shout out Two Hommes in Inglewood. It’s a low-key place, not one of those super fancy LA spots, but the food is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s an Afrocentric-inspired restaurant, and you can taste the freshness and love in every dish. I’m obsessed with the place, and I know it would be a hit with anyone visiting!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to give a huge shoutout to my amazing team—Rena Braud, Crystal Garrett, and Andrew Houston. Our relationship goes far beyond just work; it’s truly family at this point. The way we show up for each other, not just in life but through every single transaction, is something I hold so dear. We’re always teaching one another and growing together, which makes us stronger as a team. Each of us brings something unique to the table, and the support we provide to each other, both professionally and personally, is invaluable. I’m so grateful to be surrounded by people I can count on, no matter what.
