Meet Courtney Panton | Musician & General Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Panton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, what matters most to you?
Consistency matters most to me. It builds reliability and accuracy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been fortunate to be a drummer/vocalist in my family-band New Kingston started by our dad. In the crucial years of our career, I took over the managerial role; booking shows to planning music releases which in turn expanded my knowledge on the music scene/business. It wasn’t easy, but we were consistent and had support from Ineffable Music Group. One major lesson I learned was to make sure you have a strong team/support system in anything you want to do in life. I am where I am today professionally because of that team/support system that was built over the years of touring and making connections.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
While in Ventura, the first stop is to one of our favorite local coffee shops, Singing Sun or Prospect Cafe. For a week long stay, depending on the time of year it can be packed with things to do or as lazy and relaxed as you want it to be.
As far as eats; Cafe Nouveau for breakfast/brunch everyday lol, it’s so good and the service is unmatched, Indian Rosi, Rumfish, Moons Thai, Taqueria Ventura Doña Raquel, Ruff House BBQ and if you’re down for a 20 min drive, The Dutchess in Ojai.
As far as places to visit; Pierpont Beach, Emma Wood State beache, Serra Cross, Arroyo Verde Park, Ventura Fairgrounds, the Ventura Pier and our neighborhood dispensary Embrac.
As far as things to do; Rent an E-bike and explore, stroll the beaches, SURF!, watch a concert at Ventura Music Hall, grab local craft beers/drinks at anyone of our breweries/bars, visit the botanical or thrifting if that’s your thing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my parents, siblings and my Ineffable Crew.
