Meet CREEK | artist & songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with CREEK and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi CREEK, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking for me, has been crucial. As time goes on and new risks present themselves, I constantly remind myself that they are okay, better yet, necessary. Taking calculated risks can be uncomfortable but I’ve learned that sometimes that’s exactly what we need in order grow and evolve. Everything I’ve been able to experience up until this very moment has been because of the risks I’ve taken, for example, moving to LA from my hometown Springfield, Ma. Best decision I’ve ever made.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m not limited to one form of art or profession, I do the things that bring me the most joy. In other words, I do what I want. Right now, I’m focusing on writing music and building my clothing brand. Both of which I’ve been passionate about for about 8 years now. But, I’m also passionate about mentorship and helping people who want to live their truth. I’m a transgender man and my journey to self love has been a long one to say the least but I’ve acquired the necessary tools to help others and I believe it is my calling to do so. I want to help change the world by making it safe for people like me. No person should ever want to end their life because they can’t be themselves. If we all practiced self love, we wouldn’t have time to make it hard for the next person to love themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve been living in Los Angeles for about 17 months now and I’m still figuring out where all the best spots are! BUT! I would definitely recommend Himalayan House, my favorite Indian restaurant, Elephante in Santa Monica, Iki ramen in Ktown, and Anwars kitchen in DTLA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
my RAGE FOREVER family, my mentor Don, and my brother Eddie Saturn. very blessed and grateful to have y’all.
