We had the good fortune of connecting with Cyazon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cyazon, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose to pursue a career as a music artist because I want to inspire others in life the same way I was inspired when I started to make music.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am excited about the upcoming new year for my upcoming music releases. Some vocal collaborations that I’m excited about as well. I got to where I am today by learning from other artists I look up to as well as spending countless hours creating music. It definitely was a journey and not easy since 2012, and it still is a journey. I overcame the challenges by working through songs I was stuck on, and at times, getting advice from some of my mentors. I have learned along the way that success is not linear, and that most of the time in an artist career, there are a lot of small successes that lead to the big successes. Recently, my brand has taken a slight shift visually as well as with the overarching theme of leading people to a higher power in whatever way they relate.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles, I would take them to Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica/Venice, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Walk of Fame, and then a hidden overlook spot that I found a while back that overlooks the whole city and ocean in Hollywood.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my new manager who clearly sees my vision for my career. I also want to shoutout Au5 who has been a good friend/acquaintance as well as a mentor too.
