Meet Daniel Bellone | Mantra Singer & Software Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Bellone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, what’s your definition for success?
I believe that we are on this planet to bring forth who we truly are, our unique way of experiencing and expressing life, and reach that place of authenticity where the result of your pursuit doesn’t really matter, what matters is the purity of the creative process that is flowing through you. When you move into a state of consciousness detached from the interference of the mind, that is always trying to reach a certain goal to feel complete, the joy of creating elevates you. On one side you feel like a child, on the other, all the work that you have done on yourself reflects the depth of your experience.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In my early twenties, during the height of my existencial search, I was looking for a vision of the destiny that I wanted to create for myself in this lifetime. I was convinced that following the conventional path that society and my parents were offering me would lead me to a state of disconnect and spiritual amnesia. I realized that in order to bring forth the best of myself into world I would have to find a strong purpose, a life mission. I decided to travel to India on a pilgrimage, in search of a Guru and the transcendental experiences that would give me more clarity and inspiration. The journey that I embarked on touched my heart so profoundly that I committed to learn the ancient language of Sanskrit to be able share with others what words in my language could not express ~ a state of consciousness. This was something beyond the ordinary, a kind of music that was beyond entertainment and could touch the core of our being. The title “awakening through music” was the best way to describe it at that time. During the sacred rituals that I’ve witnessed at the Oneness temple in south India ~ a monumental structure made of white marble that could accommodate 5000 people meditating in a pilar-less hall at the same time ~ I had experiences states of deep meditation by just listening to the power of chanting performed by the monks. I knew that even though I had no idea of the depth of what these mantras meant, I could feel beyond any doubt the strong vibrations that were uplifting me in almost miraculous ways. For me it was beyond religion or tradition, there was something real that I’ve never felt before in my entire life. That’s where I began my journey of composing these primal invocations in the form of songs with modern instrumentation that would carry the transformative power of this ancestral yoga of sound.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
During the day I would take them to El Matador beach, where I decided to marry my beloved. I believe you can see one of the most beautiful sunsets in this place. I would also visit canyons of Topanga and see the beautiful coastline and the city of LA from above. There are some great spots to hike, spend the day in nature and recharge. Santa Monica is a great area to have dinner. I would invite them to Cafe Gratitude, an exquisite vegetarian restaurant that offers the most delightful dishes with and has an amazing ambience.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Anastasia Bellone, my Divine lover and my best confident.
