Meet Daniel Bennett | Content Creator & Social Creative and Founder at KDX Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting KDX Creative was driven by a mix of passion, frustration, and opportunity. I’ve always loved short-form content and storytelling on platforms like Vine and TikTok. When I was working a 9-5, I got to see how the advertising world worked from the inside, but as an assistant, my ideas weren’t always heard. So I started sneaking them into decks, and as a result, one of my ideas turned into Gatorade’s biggest TikTok campaign with over 1.1 billion views. That was a turning point. It showed me not only that I had a unique creative voice, but also that I needed to build a space where those ideas could be fully realized. That’s how KDX Creative was born, a place where creativity isn’t filtered through layers of corporate hierarchy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
KDX Creative is a social-first creative agency that specializes in creating viral, authentic content for artists and brands. We stand out by prioritizing relatability and innovation while keeping each client’s unique voice at the core. What I’m most proud of is how we’ve built a culture that values every team member’s creativity equally, no hierarchy. The road to get here wasn’t easy. Convincing big name clients to trust a small team with their digital presence took time and a lot of risk on both ends. But we built that trust through consistent, thoughtful execution and by proving we understood the audience better than anyone else. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to lean into challenges, it’s usually where the best work comes from. If there’s one thing I want the world to know about us, it’s that KDX is built on trust, fun, and a love for pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to town, we’d hit all the classic LA spots. We’d start the morning with a run. In my opinion, there’s no better way to take in the city and maybe we’d even drop in on Diplo’s Run Club. After that, it’s brunch at Great White, a stroll down Abbot Kinney, and some beach time to recharge. We’d wrap the day with dinner at Gjelina. Sounds like an iconic LA day to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few! First, the team at Kursza, who believed in KDX and helped turn it into what it is today with their backing and production power. Second, the creatives I’ve worked with over the years, many of whom helped shape the vision of what authentic digital storytelling could be. And finally, the community that formed around my early content. Their reactions, comments, and support fueled the belief that this kind of storytelling mattered and had reach.
