We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Sabrina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Making self-development a daily habit is something that has not only helped me succeed but is the reason I’m able to maintain that success. No matter how busy my schedule is or where in the world I may find myself, I start every day by doing some type of intention setting. I also make it a point to reflect on how I personally play a role in any areas of contention that might be popping up in my life. I like to take full responsibility for everything in my life so I can learn from my mistakes and not have to continuously repeat them. My team and I apply this same mentality to the work we do with clients and I believe its a major driver of our success.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tribe Builder Media has been Ranked #5 Best Entrepreneurial Company in America by Entrepreneur Magazine and has received several other industry awards such as Best Global PR Agency, and Best Corporate Communication.

We’re a results-driven agency that gives back a portion of its proceeds to the communities of our clients and team members. Our agency connects the world of business development, marketing, and public relations. Our success through the years has gained the trust of many high-profile clients and celebrities who look to us to incubate new ideas, create buzz, and go public. Our strategy and insight have played an integral part in our clients achieving prestigious awards such as Forbes Next Billion-Dollar Startup among other top-level recognition.

We also have over a 97% success rate at getting our clients featured in top-tier publications, due to our team’s ability to strategically develop A++ thought leadership, of course, our background in journalism, linguistics, and digital marketing certainly helps too!

One of the biggest challenges our agency has to overcome is the bad reputation PR tends to have. Many of our clients have come to us with a bad taste in their mouths from working with other agencies. The primary complaint is always lack of delivery, there are big promises made by agencies but very little follow-through. After being in the industry for well over 15 years, I’ve come to the conclusion that most agencies never quite adapted to the digital landscape, Many just pull a huge media list and blindly send out a pitch hoping that it will get picked up by the media. When the pitch doesn’t get picked up, the agency tends to blame the client and chalk it up to the company or story not being interested enough.

That was one of the reasons as an agency we decided to become focused on results. We knew if we were going to maintain a 97% success rate of getting our clients featured in top-tier publications we had to come up with a system that could ensure that success. That’s exactly what we did, we spent several years tweaking our proprietary pitch process and we now have it down to a science. Our process allows up to have a constant pulse on the likelihood of the pitched getting picked up and by who. Our clients appreciate this because we’re not only able to set reasonable expectations but we can also know when things need to get tweaked before wasting too much time. Aligning expectations with wins is incredibly important for our larger corporate clients as the team has several people to answer to from the CEO to board members who are not usually directly involved in the process. No one wants to go to their supervisors having to tell them results fell flat because someone from the PR agency overpromised.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite restaurants are Elephante, SoHo House, Toca Madera, Craigs, and Nice Guy.

People always ask me what to do when they’re in LA and I always say pick one place and stay there, trying to do multiple things in a day you end up spending most of your time in the car.
