Meet Dark Mark | Creative Creator/Clothing Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dark Mark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dark, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Pretty much goes hand in hand with business one day I woke up and realized it was my turn to jump off the porch with my idea. Another point that goes risk taking is being dedicated and devising a plan and carrying it out and setting up small miles stones the ONO brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Im most excited about the plans we have planned out for the upcoming year for everyone especially our visuals that are getting worked on as we speak. The way I got to where I am today is creating a team to help create load management between everyone and focus on on piece of the pie and when we come together we make the whole.
A quote I always used to hear my dad say and I live by those words till this day “Nothing in life you really want in life is ever going to be easy” and I’ve learned that if you pray and talk to God consistently you will reach any goal.
The lessons I’ve learned along the way is that listening to your pears is not always the best decision people are naturally scared to go new directions where they don’t known the end goal. If you have idea or concept you just do it and trust that God will have your back.
I want the world to know that I started this brand in a garage with just a bunch of ideas and sketch book and I’ve put real time into making sure that we push out the most outside the box designs out there right now for the ONO brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my Bestfriend was coming into town and had to show him a great food spot would definitely have to be Korean Barbecue, thats a great place to take someone to just vibe out its hands on so you’re cooking all the food yourself and they have something for all your taste buds from steaks, chicken, and even a seafood selection. They also have a variety of drinks called soju its alcoholic beverage that is made fresh at some spots just gotta know where to go.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a moment to my father. He is one of the most supportive people that I have had in my corner. He sparked my ambitions and always let me know that I could accomplish anything. Unfortunately his life was take as a product of gang violence when I was a child. I’ve been tasked with the duty to continue on his name and to use the gift that he instilled in me so many years ago. Knowing that if he was alive today I know he would be proud of me.
