Meet David Krassner | Co Founder Co Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Krassner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what is the most important factor behind your success?
CAMP BRAVO is a unique educational theatre experience. Performing Arts Summer programs are most often wrapped around some public performance. BRAVO is a process-based experience, that is not about casting or rehearsals. It focuses on trust, collaboration, and taking risks. We are located 7,000 feet “up a mountain” so literally no contact with the outside world for seven days. We are doing nothing but theatre from 8:00A till 11:00P at night.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Artur and I both came from successful film, television, and on-stage careers. Being an artist is never easy, so the concept of BRAVO was to take the “choose me” aspect out of the equation and have each one of the campers experience the “life of an artist” for the entire week. The love for creativity needs to be nurtured, and collaboration and communicating an idea must be encouraged. That is what makes the next generation of artists

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The wonderfully talented people who year after year bring their amazing energy and talents “up the mountain” to share their experience with the campers. Most of our teaching staff started as campers years ago, then counselors, and now teachers and mentors.
