We had the good fortune of connecting with Davide Filippini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Davide, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I moved to the US in 2014 without knowing anybody and without knowing any English, I was 23 years old, I quit my job as a banker, sold my vehicles and most of my belongings, I had to take that risk, it just felt right to do so. Moving to the US has always been a dream of mine. and I’ m glad I took that risk because in life, if you want to level up, if you want to expand (spiritually and financially) you must take risks. Have faith and take risks, the worst thing you can do to yourself is to live with regrets

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a blend of multiple passions: gaming, videography, photography, and music. What sets me apart is my ability to merge these worlds in a way that feels organic and authentic. Whether I’m creating engaging content for a brand on TikTok, capturing the energy of a live event through my camera, or streaming gameplay to an audience, it’s all about storytelling. I believe what differentiates me is that I’m not just creating content, I’m creating experiences that resonate with people on different levels—be it emotional, visual, or auditory

I’m most proud of how I’ve been able to turn my passions into a sustainable business. I went from being a musician in Italy to building a full-fledged content creation business in LA, and I now run multiple YouTube channels while working with brands to produce engaging ad content. But it wasn’t easy—far from it. The transition was filled with moments of doubt, financial struggles, and even language barriers when I first moved. But I learned to adapt quickly, picking up new skills in editing, marketing, and even learning to use TikTok’s algorithm to my advantage.

One key lesson I’ve learned is that persistence is everything. There’s always going to be a new challenge, but you have to keep pushing forward, tweaking your approach, and learning from every project. What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s rooted in authenticity. I don’t believe in creating content just for the sake of it; I want it to mean something, to entertain, educate, or inspire.

At the end of the day, my story is about growth and resilience. It’s proof that no matter where you start, if you’re willing to put in the work and stay true to your vision, you can build something incredible

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
ok well, first of all it depends on where they are visiting from. Because if they are my friends from Italy I probably would take them to eat something NOT Italian (they would get disappointed and they can have that anytime once they get back home).

I would definitely take them to Salsa & Beer #2 in North Hollywood, it’s very important you pick the #2 location

I would then take them to EP&LP for a nice Aperol Spritz on the rooftop,

and if they feel like it’s a party vibe type night we’re going straight to Santa Monica Blvd bar hopping, most likely ending up at the Abbey.

if they really really want to get some good Italian food I would then take them to FORMA RESTAURANT CHEESE AND BAR in Santa Monica or EATALY Century City

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I met incredible people in this journey that I’m extremely grateful for! And some of them are people I look up to to this day. I love books, there are a few that helped me tremendously, one of them is “Change Your Paradigm, Change Your Life by Bob Proctor” also Mike Dooley has been extremely enlightening in my journey. But I have to say thank you to all the failures: honestly all the mistakes were the lessons that helped me learn the most, it’s not about the failures itself, it’s about how you get up from those.
