Meet Deion Moore | YouTuber and social media influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Deion Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Deion, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because I’ve always been drawn to storytelling and self-expression. Art has a unique power to communicate ideas, emotions, and perspectives that go beyond words alone. Creativity allows for constant exploration and discovery, and I love how art invites people to see the world in new ways. It’s also about connection—through creative work, there’s a chance to engage with others on a deeper level, sharing experiences and sparking thoughts that linger long after. Ultimately, I wanted a path where I could keep evolving, challenging myself, and finding new ways to connect with people.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
“What inspired you to start your YouTube channel, and what has your journey been like so far?”
Starting my YouTube channel was a mix of passion, creativity, and wanting to build something that could connect with others in a meaningful way. As an artist and creative, I wanted a platform to share my work, my ideas, and insights in a way that felt personal and engaging. YouTube felt like the perfect place to do that—it’s a space where I could be my authentic self and connect with an audience that’s interested in creativity and self-expression.
The journey so far has been incredible and challenging at the same time. Creating content as a full-time dad means balancing family life with filming, editing, and responding to viewers, and it’s a lot to manage! But it’s been so rewarding seeing the positive impact on my audience, building a community, and being able to support my family by doing what I love. Every subscriber, like, and comment fuels my passion to keep creating and makes all the hard work worth it.
For me, the best part is knowing that I’m inspiring others to explore their own creativity, whether they’re parents finding time for their passion or individuals stepping into their own artistic journeys. It’s been an amazing ride, and I’m excited to see where it goes next.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles, I’d put together an itinerary that mixes the best vegan food spots, scenic hikes, and some of the coolest shopping districts. Here’s what a week in LA would look like:
Day 1: Vegan Foodie Kickoff
• Breakfast: We’d start the day at Sage Vegan Bistro in Echo Park. Their breakfast burritos and matcha lattes are a must-try!
• Lunch: Head over to Gracias Madre in West Hollywood for an amazing plant-based Mexican lunch with refreshing margaritas.
• Dinner: Wrap up the day with dinner at Crossroads Kitchen. It’s a bit more upscale, perfect for trying dishes like truffle pasta and artichoke oysters.
Day 2: Malibu Hike and Beach Day
• Hiking: We’d drive out to Solstice Canyon for a scenic hike with ocean views and even a few waterfall spots if we’re lucky.
• Lunch: After the hike, we’d grab lunch at Malibu Farm Cafe on the pier. They have delicious veggie bowls and smoothies.
• Beach Time: Spend the afternoon relaxing on Zuma Beach, one of Malibu’s best, before heading back into the city.
Day 3: Vegan Junk Food and Arts District Shopping
• Lunch: Kick things off with some epic vegan junk food at Monty’s Good Burger in the Arts District. Their burgers and shakes are awesome.
• Shopping: We’d explore the Arts District, where there are great shops like Alchemy Works and Apothecary 330. We’d also check out street art and galleries in the area.
• Dinner: For dinner, we’d hit Shojin in Little Tokyo, a vegan Japanese spot with incredible sushi rolls and ramen.
Day 4: Griffith Park Hike and Melrose Shopping
• Hiking: A morning hike up to the Griffith Observatory for iconic LA views, including the Hollywood Sign.
• Shopping: Head over to Melrose Avenue for some of the best shopping in the city. There’s everything from trendy boutiques to vintage shops. We’d stop by Wasteland and The RealReal for some unique finds.
• Dinner: After a long day, we’d relax with dinner at Plant Food + Wine on Abbot Kinney, a gorgeous vegan spot with a cozy patio.
Day 5: Venice Beach and Santa Monica
• Morning: Start with a stroll down the Venice Beach boardwalk, people-watching and checking out the street vendors.
• Lunch: Grab lunch at The Butcher’s Daughter on Abbot Kinney. Their avocado toast and fresh juices are top-notch.
• Afternoon: We’d hit the Santa Monica Pier for some classic LA vibes and then explore the Third Street Promenade for shopping and street performers.
Day 6: Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard
• Morning: Check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame for some tourist fun.
• Lunch: We’d have lunch at Doomie’s Home Cookin’ in Hollywood for some indulgent vegan comfort food.
• Afternoon: Spend the afternoon shopping along Sunset Boulevard, exploring places like Amoeba Music and Book Soup for some rare finds.
• Evening Drinks: Head to Bar Stella in Silver Lake for some evening cocktails in a stylish setting.
Day 7: Chill Day and Final Favorites
• Brunch: Start with a leisurely brunch at Little Pine, Moby’s vegan bistro in Silver Lake, for some delicious pastries and breakfast plates.
• Afternoon Hike: For one last hike, we’d hit Runyon Canyon to soak in the LA views.
• Dinner: We’d finish off with a cozy dinner at Nic’s on Beverly, with their signature vegan pizza and roasted Brussels sprouts.
From incredible vegan eats to scenic hikes and eclectic shopping spots, this week would show my friend the absolute best of LA’s vibrant, laid-back lifestyle.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! I want to give a huge shoutout to my family, especially my partner and kids, who have been my greatest source of inspiration, strength, and support. Being a full-time dad and YouTuber isn’t always easy, and they’ve stood by me, encouraging me to keep pushing forward even on the hardest days.
I also want to give a shoutout to everyone who’s tuned into my channel and shared their positive feedback and support. Building a community like this wouldn’t have been possible without you all.
And hey—I’ll give a little shoutout to myself, too. Juggling family life and the demands of YouTube requires grit and a lot of late nights, and I’m proud of the commitment I’ve put into both my kids and my content. Here’s to keeping that balance, and to everyone who’s been part of the journey.
