Hi Desa Unique, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Hmmmm, To be honest I don’t know, like I don’t see the end as a destination but rather an ongoing journey of creativity, impact, and inspiration. I mean, I’m 26 so the “end” seems so far ahead, with endless possibilities. What keeps me going is the desire to create something with longevity, something that transcends time and continues to inspire generations to come and what that looks like for me now, may not be what it exactly will be later. I just know I want to continue to walk in my divine purpose, and fulfill what God has set for me in this life time.

I envision a future where my work serves as empowerment for women, where strength and elegance intertwine seamlessly to uplift individuals from all walks of life.

My brand has may layers, each with intention and purpose. I am committed to nurturing a strong foundation in all aspects of my endeavors, knowing that from this groundwork, countless opportunities can blossom.

As I continue to navigate this journey, I embrace growth and change with open arms, knowing that they are essential and sometimes I will have to pivot. Ultimately, my happiness lies in knowing that I am making a positive impact, leaving a legacy of empowerment, beauty, and inspiration in my wake.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and genuineness. In an era where trust is often hard to come by, I’ve chosen to embrace transparency and openness, allowing my true self to shine through in every aspect of my work. Whether it’s through social media or face-to-face interactions, what you see is always what you get with me.

My journey to where I am today has been anything but easy. When I first arrived in LA, I faced the task of building my brand from the ground up in the mix of a global pandemic. Just like any business, there is going to be ups and down.

Of course, no journey is without its challenges, and mine was no exception. But through it all, I really recommend saying anchored to your “why” and fuel it with pure intentions. I feel like that is the best way to get through anything thrown at you.

I’ve learned very valuable lessons about the power of resilience, consistency, and staying true to myself. Success isn’t just about reaching the destination; it’s about the journey and the person you become along the way. My hope is that my story serves as inspiration for others, showcasing that with focus, dedication, and authenticity, anything is possible.

As I continue to evolve and expand my brand, I’m most excited about tapping into my creative side in new and innovative ways. I’ve always harbored a wealth of creative interests and talents, and I’m very excited to explore them further as I journey on this next chapter of my life. You will have to stay tuned for that.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It really depends on what you like, LA has so much range you can have a lot of fun but you can also find pockets of calmness . I would definitely take them on a nice hike to the Griffith park observatory, check out the museum of illusions, hollywood walk of fame if they have never been. Food causally, Empanada Palace in Culver City is my JAM, but for a nice cute dress up dinner I would take them to Ysabel or Tao . If they want to enjoy some good food and drinks and a game I would take them to 3rd base in hollywood. And for brunch is they want some real fun I would take them to A Beautiful Place- a Jamaican restaurant with a great brunch and good vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, my shoutout goes to my amazing mother. She’s not just a parent; she’s my light, my confidante, and my biggest supporter. She’s like my “mom-ager” haha, navigating both the personal and professional aspects of my life and brand.

She’s the encouragement and love I needed to pursue my dreams. She’s there for the “good” & “bad” keeping me grounded, focused, and moving forward with what really matters. I am endlessly grateful to have her by my side, guiding me with her intelligence, warmth, and grace.

Her influence and presence have shaped me into the person I am today, and for that, I will be forever thankful.
