Meet De’Shawn Lyles | Service Expansion Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with De’Shawn Lyles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi De’Shawn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well first a few different factors behind me starting my own Business. 1. One was inspired by a book I read “Think like a Success, Act like a Success.” by Steve Harvey. Through Steve lenses, I was able to see a vision of my own Entrepreneurial journey that until then was only a an idea. You see when it comes to having a job, we are all under the impression that a job gives you the ability to rest at night stay with the company until your 65 and retire happily. However the truth is, there is no guarantee a job will be around long enough to retire. And in order to take our life and destiny into our own hands we must remove employment and search for deployment! What is the difference between the 2? One puts you in a position to put your faith in someone else & the other puts you on a journey to rely on yourself. The most important piece arguably is; Allowing your purpose to be filled. You see your Purpose in my believe is the reason why were all here. So too not fulfill this and end up leaving earth is like a starving death sentence. So we must do what we love.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Service Expansion Coach. I serve Service Professionals to use their hands and tools to service Residential and Commercial properties. My potential clients are making between 80k – 250K a year and searching for a solution to get to a million dollars. I’m excited about serving Service leaders and allowing my purpose to shine. Well first, you have to understand Entrepreneurship is not a popular stance in Business. So you have to first ask yourself, are you able to be a disruptor? Are you able to do the exact opposite of your peers, friends & family? Well most people can not, however if you could, well it’s just one important component and you must understand, everything about school is all about teaching you have to be an employee. I read a book by Earl NIghtngale and he said in his book, “The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice … it is conformity.” And there you have the reason for so many failures. Conformity — people acting like everyone else, without knowing why or where they are going.” This is one of the biggest reasons why we don’t have more people doing what’s right. We are marching to the beat of today’s society usually knowing we are doing it, but being parallelized about doing something about it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, there are many books that I believe should be recognized, Think like a Success, act Like a Success. by Steve Harvey. Think & Grow Rich; A Black Choice. by Dennis Kimbro. The Principles and Power of Vision by Dr Myles Monroe. The Day that turns your life around by Jim Rohn. And the list goes on. I can contribute my Entrepreneurial journey to many more books.
