We had the good fortune of connecting with Donny Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donny, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My biggest goal with Donny Diaz LA is to make luxury fashion/apparel more accessible. I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel. I just want to help change the fashion industry by being able to offer high quality luxury goods at a more realistic price, and with the relationships that I have built I am able to do just that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Like I previously said, our mission with Donny Diaz LA is to make luxury fashion more accessible. I want to be able to offer people the highest quality products without having to pay that top dollar “designer” price, and with the relationships I have built I am able to offer just that. We work with a lot of the same vendors, manufacturers, factories, etc., as the biggest names in luxury streetwear, but are able to offer our products at a fraction of the price. It definitely has taken some time to research, learn, and meet all of these connections, so if I can encourage anyone starting out it would be to take your time to fully learn the ins and outs of whatever it is you wont to accomplish.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I have friends visiting I love to show them the cooler, more local things to do here in LA. I would definitely take them to my favorite coffee shop, Maru, in the Arts District. If they want to do something more “touristy” then I would take them to the Griffith Observatory for all the views of the city, and the cool museum part as well. To finish off, I would show them what I think is one of LA’s best kept secrets, which is the small community of Playa Vista where we could enjoy a nice walk and grab some food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely will have to give credit to Christine Ko and Keeter Ly of Venia Collection for taking me under their wing and taking the time to show me all the ins and outs of the fashion industry here in the heart of Los Angeles.
