Meet Dr. Rahi: Integrative Aesthetics – Medical Doctor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Rahi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr., what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is the foundation of who I am and where I come from – my parents took a risk by leaving Iran with 3 kids and barely any money to move to Canada – a country of opportunities and freedom but a country where they knew no one and barely spoke the language (English) – in turn I took a risk by moving to the United States to pursue my passion of medicine and entrepreneurship. I also took a risk by leaving my comfortable and lucrative life in the hospital to start my own medical practice in both Beverly Hills and now New York City – I believe the key to any success is to take calculated and mindful risks. I do not regret my choices and am finally in a place where I can practice Integrative Aesthetics and provide the best services to all my patients.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have merged the field of science and art in the most unique way by merging aesthetics with integrative medicine – I am able to help my patients achieve health and wellness from the inside out. My practice focuses on self care being as integral to your health, if not more important, than visiting your doctor. I work with my patients in order to create health and wellness – whereas I find the typical Western Medical doctor will dictate to the patient what to do with little regard to what the patient wants. Of course it was a struggle to get here – no one believed or understood my passion or drive (not even my own family) and many along the way suggested I try to do otherwise. The biggest lesson is to always follow your heart but with the guidance of your brain and do not listen much to anyone unless they support your dreams (family included).
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Is my best friend visiting me during the COVID era? If so then I would invite her to my office first for a full day of pampering – afterwards we would rent an AirBnb in Malibu and take our dogs and spend our days doing meditation, yoga, hiking and chillin by the beach. We would cook my favorite dishes from my Persian Vegan cookbook and have a few glasses of red wine.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My entire family – mommy, daddy, brother, sister, auntie, Roxy and all the little fur babies in my life.
